Read about our adoption process on our website. Sasha is such a loyal love bug. She loves to cuddle, give kisses, play and be a couch potato. She is house and crate trained, and is still learning proper manners on the leash. Sasha is a fast learner, she knows how to sit and shake, and excitedly welcomes her family home every day. She enjoys daily walks, soaking up the sun, occasional zoomies and cozying up in her favorite spot. Sasha does well with other dogs, as well as cats.Ideal home: one where she can relax and have her own spot, she uses her crate as a safe space; she would do well without another dog or without a yard as long as she received enough exercise through walks. She would do well with another playful dog who brings out her playful side however has displayed mild resource guarding with high value treats/toys (my dog more so, so could be due to him so I always crate when leaving them alone). She actively plays with my young puppy fosters very well. Her environment can be very versatile as long as proper care is taken to support her needs. She initially does not show interest in new people, and can take a bit to warm up, but when she does, she is very affectionate by nature. She can pull hard on the leash at times AND walk very well on it. She is still actively being trained to walk on leash without pulling, but wildlife (deer, squirrels, etc.) gets her very excited. Also when she plays with my resident dog, they play rough and growl very loudly, but it is very friendly - it may not look or sound very friendly but rough housing is their go-to play.Name: SashaBreed: Lab mixAge: ~3 yearsWeight: ~54lbSex: Female, spayedColour: TanMedical: No concerns Good with men: Yes, friendlyGood with women: Yes, friendly Good with kids 0-6: Yes, but has not lived with small kids Good with kids 6+: Yes, but has not lived with kidsGood with dogs: Yes, enjoys being around other dogs Good with cats: Yes, fostered with cats House trained: YesCrate trained: YesResource guarding: Yes, will guard high value treats/food from other dogs; eats in crate Walks on a leash: Yes, walks well but pulls/is strong Energy level: MediumRequires detached/single home: Preferred Separation anxiety: Maybe/Mild - she may bark when her foster is nearby but not accessible (i.e. when she is locked in her crate but I have not left within a few minutes, she may bark; when I walk my other dog 1:1 and she can see us through the windows, she will bark) Barker: Average
