Story
We purchased Maverick in February just before injury. We hope he can find a family that runs, hunts and has a fenced in yard. Maverick birthday 11/15/23 German Shorthair (49.2%) Golden Retriever (50.8%) I love to take my humans on walks, but am working on letting them walk me. I love to play fetch and run, I have been kennel trained since day one. We spend lots of time at the dog parks playing with others. Of course I love treats - Yack Cheese and Bully sticks are my favorite. I like to train and learn real fast. I would love a fenced in backyard and I can’t wait for someone to take me hunting. I have shorter hair but a bit longer and thicker than then a typical shorthair. Pointing comes natural and have been around younger kids my whole life and yet am still working on my manners. I have all my shots updated and my parents are both Golden Shorthairs.

Story
Lacey's ideal home would be one where she's not the only four-legged wrestler in the ring! She thrives in the company of other dogs and needs to have a canine companion who can keep up with her high-energy antics. Together, they'll engage in epic wrestling matches, chase each other around the yard, and engage in all sorts of doggy shenanigans. She is house trained and is working on her best manners! Lacey did live outdoors, so she is working on the manners part! Lacey is considered special needs because she takes daily Prozac. She is successful when she is both on meds and has another dog to burn energy and cuddle up with. She does NOT do well as the only dog, or when crated/kenneled. Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash.

Cosmic Brownie is an amazing lady! She is around 4 years old and weighs about 80 pounds. We don't have much background information, but we know here at the BRHS she loves her staff, jumps up to give hugs, and is all about spending time with people!
