Story
My name is Dakota and I recently came to Companions Animal Center through my local animal control. I am reserved when I initially meet new people but once I feel comfortable, I am your pal. I am a sweet guy who likes to walk and play outside, I don't seem to be bothered by other dogs. I am happy to settle down on my dog bed and watch a good movie with you. Please be sure that you have the right amount of time space and recourses to care for me for the rest of my life. Please come visit me at Companions Animal Center and give me the opportunity to win your heart and be your forever buddy. Be sure you have the right amount of time space and recourses to care for me for the rest of my life.

Story
Hi, I'm Oakley! I have so much love to share and loads of energy to match. My happy place is in the great outdoors where I can run and play with my favorite people and my favorite toys. I'm a loyal guy! I promise that once I get to know you, I'll love you unconditionally. I can get overwhelmed when meeting new people, especially men in hats. I learn best from strong corrections and would thrive with an owner who is eager to further my training so I can be my best self. I can't wait to find my forever home. If it could be with you, come meet me!

Story
Meet Thistle! Thistle (an orphan now part of our Crayola litter) is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information in the “Adoption from Path of Hope Rescue” section below). Thistle is a charming black mixed breed puppy with floppy ears and soulful eyes. He has started potty and crate training and will begin leash and obedience training shortly. We expect Thistle to be a medium size dog in the 40-60 lb. range. We are accepting applications now for Thistle, and he will be available to go to his new home once he has been neutered. Thistle is brand new to our rescue, and we will post more information about him as we learn more about his delightful personality! Want to meet Thistle? Fill out an application or visit our website for more information! What is Path of Hope’s Adoption Process? Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days. Begin by completing the online application. EVERY application receives an email response from us (check your spam folder!). Your personal Matchmaker will contact you, help you find your perfect pup match, and guide you through the process. Meet your potential pup at the home of the foster family. (The process may differ slightly for long distance adopters.) Bring your potential pup home for a no commitment In Home Trial. In Home Trials are a minimum of (2) nights for a puppy and one week for an adult. Your Matchmaker will check in with you during this time. Sign the adoption paperwork and adopt your new family member! Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process. Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs one year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course.   Long Distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250.  Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon.   About Path of Hope Rescue At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes.   We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment.   Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events.   Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process. ##2146109##

Story
Meet Rosco, a sweet and affectionate dog who is on a heartfelt mission to find his forever home. His journey to this point has been marked by both trials and resilience. Abandoned by his previous owner alongside another pet, Rosco faced an uncertain future. However, destiny had kinder plans for him, and we were more than ready to welcome him into our rescue family, providing him with the love and care he so richly deserves. Rosco embodies a beautiful blend of playful energy and serene calmness, making him the perfect companion for a variety of lifestyles. This charming boy has a heart full of love and an irresistible spirit. Whether it's a fun game of fetch in the yard or a cozy cuddle session on the couch, Rosco is always ready to share his joy and affection. His playful nature spreads happiness wherever he goes, yet he also has a gentle, calm side that makes him an ideal partner for quiet evenings at home. One of Rosco's standout qualities is his excellent training. He is a pro on the leash, transforming walks into delightful experiences for both him and his handler. His leash manners ensure that outdoor adventures are enjoyable and stress-free. Additionally, Rosco is fully crate trained, a testament to his adaptability and good behavior. His previous training will allow him to fit seamlessly into his new home, bringing ease and comfort to his new family. To make the adoption process even more convenient, we offer transportation every two weeks to both the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest. This means that no matter where you are, Rosco can easily become a part of your life. We prioritize the safety and comfort of our furry friends during their travels, allowing you to focus on the joy of welcoming a new family member without any added worry. Rosco's resilience and loving nature have deeply touched us, and we are committed to finding him a forever home where he can thrive and be cherished. He is more than ready to start a new chapter of his life with a family that will appreciate his loyalty, playfulness, and endless love. Are you ready to open your heart and home to this incredible dog? With Rosco by your side, you'll gain a loyal friend and a source of endless joy. Don't wait—reach out to us today to learn more about Rosco and how you can make him a part of your family. Your new best friend is waiting, and Rosco can't wait to meet you! Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets. So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home. Many never even had a home and were born on the streets. WE gave them a chance. Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for . We believe in our local and out of state applicants. There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks. You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them. No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest or Canada we welcome you! Thank you for considering to adopt and not shop.If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts? Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes our rescue is in Houston. Our available animals live with foster families. This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one. We do have foster homes in your area. This is why you are able to see our posts. Unfortunatelly Meet & Greets have been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions. Almost all our animals traveling have been adopted. We have been doing this since 2019 and very successful. Please take a look at our adopters reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby part of your family, then go to https://www.petstablished.com/organization/920716    ##2065998##
