Story
Phoenix is a 6.5-month-old American Foxhound mix who is ready to find his forever home. This playful and smart pup is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and on monthly preventatives—he’s all set to start his next adventure! Phoenix adores his people and is a big fan of fun. He’s great with other dogs, and his favorite activities include running, chasing, and playing to his heart’s content. He’s been around cats and, while he’d love to play with them, he’s respectful of their boundaries. Phoenix is learning quickly and doing wonderfully with house training. He’s also picking up his indoor manners and honing his leash skills during daily walks. We think Phoenix would make an amazing family dog, as he’s likely to thrive with kids who can match his playful energy. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate, and active companion, Phoenix might be the perfect fit for you. Don’t wait—this awesome pup is ready to light up your life! Story
This pup is undergoing Parvo treatment through APA! and is expected to make a full recovery. They are not quite out of the woods yet and will need a few more days to complete treatment before leaving the Parvo ward; but that doesn’t mean they can’t start getting the word out that they need an adopter lined up for when they are ready to leave on 1/23/25! If you would be interested in learning more about me you can email Matchmaker@austinpetsalive.org or come to the shelter and ask to meet them. Please be aware that they absolutely cannot go home until 1/23/25, or until they test negative, but we will be taking 1-2 people’s information to be lined up for their adoption.
