Story
This adventurous pup is Webster, a mixed breed at about six months of age and 33 pounds that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 8/12. My Dog Scanner app suggests the following in his breed mix--American Foxhound, Beagle, St. Bernard, and Aussie Shepherd. Whatever is in his breed mix, he is absolutely adorable! Webster had quite the harrowing experience before being safely secured by our animal control officers. He was so scared that he ran up into the underside of a truck and somehow got wedged in. It took some creativity and extra manpower to pull him out to safety. He has the cutest freckles, most beautiful brown eyes and the softest fluffiest fur! He is a happy-go-lucky, tail-wagging pup with an abundance of spunk and enthusiasm. He is so friendly, affectionate, gives kisses, snuggles, and wants to be close to a human friend. He would be perfect for an active person or family that would be willing to invest some time and energy in guiding him through the puppy stage that can sometimes be a challenge. He wasn't especially interested in treats or toys. Mostly he just wanted to explore the room or stay close to a loving and caring person. He walks hesitantly on a leash and leash training would be beneficial. I found this sweet little boy delightful and charming!

Story
Amazing dog. Very sweet natured and loved attention. Will want to lay around on your floors or play with a ball. He will bring you stuffed animals to show you. He is dog friendly but occasionally can get upset if they invade his space. He doesn't always realize how big he is. Has been around babies, strangers, and other dogs. Have not tried a dog park yet to see how he does in group settings. He would probably love to be an only dog to a younger or active couple. I believe he would be too much for an older individual. He has learned to sit so far and is fully crate trained. No accidents in crate (uses an xl size). Almost fully potty trained outside of the crate but may mark at first in a new place. Will stop if you tell him no. Listens well and is respectful with firm command tones. Has learned to heel on a leash with proper techniques to continue his training. Has done some off leash e collar recall and done very well!!! If we didnt already have a dog and new baby we would keep him ourselves. I do currently have someone interested in him but they have been waiting a long time to get an okay from their landlord (we are friends with them) i will continue to keep them updated on him and let you know if they proceed with the adoption. We are going out of town soon and can only bring our personal esa with us to the resort is why we are returning him for now. We may be interested in fostering him again when we get back!!!
