Story
https://foha.org/pet/nolan/ Nobody knows love, nose rubs, affection and nonstop fun like Nolan. Never in your wildest dreams will you come across a never-ending bundle of happiness and kindness like Nolan. I am a dog of many nodes of joy. I prefer to be very active, as my energy knows no bounds. Long walks, big yards, non-stop tug of war are the things that I smile most for. Leash walking is no problem for me, but like my hound dog roots I prefer to set the pace and direction. Calm and quiet are my preferred settings so I would do best in a home nuzzled in a quiet neighborhood or on a serene block. A few Nolan "no-no's are other pets or children. I need to be in a house with an experienced owner who can give me their undivided attention. I do have a strong startle reflex so I should not be allowed on the furniture with you. I would like my own bed to the side where I am safe and sound. Take the time to get to know me, be patient with me as we warm up to each other, and I will show you a dog who will never leave your side and who will always be there for you. Nolan is sponsored by Carolyn Landry: Stacey Gimbert - Thank you for all you do for those who can't help themselves. You are blessing to them and to me. Story
Meet the handsome Millie, born in Texas on May 27, 2023, when her momma delivered 9 beautiful puppies. While her momma is believed to be a purebred Harrier, the identity of the daddy remains a mystery. Millie found her way to our rescue due to challenges in securing her a new home. Like many in Texas, Millie faced the risk of abandonment, poverty, starvation, sickness, or euthanasia without suitable homes. Her foster, struggling to ensure their safety, could no longer keep Millie or her siblings, leading to their transfer to our rescue in search of their forever homes. Millie is up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and comes with a health certificate. This playful, smart, and laid-back pup is the perfect overall family companion, expected to reach about 50-60 pounds. If Millie has captured your heart, please visit our website: https://serendipityanimalrescue.org for more information.

ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Fern came to Homeward Trails from a rural shelter as a very pregnanat young dog. She gave birth to adorable puppies soon after she came to us. Fern has been the best momma and a wonderfully sweet companion to her foster humans. The family who adopts her will be so lucky to get a loyal and sweet natured young dog. Fern is incredibly easy to fall in love with as she has a gentle, sweet composure. She is a tad skittish around new people and loud sudden noises but warms up quickly. She loves a good rub down especially around her ears and will paw her person to continue when they stop. She also loves playing with toys. As her mama duties are ending, she is starting to show her playful side. She is, after all, barely out of puppyhood herself. With her needing less time to attend to her puppies, Fern is now starting to learn commands. She has almost mastered "sit". Next up is learning to keep all four paws on the ground; Fern's an affectionate girl who is learning that jumping on her humans is a no-no. Fern sleeps in her dog bed near her foster's bed every night and wakes her foster up with her smile in the morning to be let out. She LOVES TO BE OUTSIDE! Fern will be happiest in a home with a fenced yard. Fern's maternal duties are almost at an end so she will be looking to move to her forever home very soon.
