Story
Hi, I’m Popo! I’m a 7-year-old French Bulldog mix weighing about 20 pounds, and I’m the ultimate easygoing companion. I was found as a stray and pulled from SDHS, but you’d never know it with how friendly and adaptable I am. I get along with everyone—kids, dogs, cats, even farm animals like chickens and rabbits! I don’t bark, and as long as I’m with my human, I’m happy. I love car rides, adventures, and most of all, cuddles. At night, I’ll let you know if I need a potty break, but other than that, I’m a quiet, loving little guy who just wants to be by your side. I’m doing great with my leash training and sleep well in my crate, but I do need to go out at night for a potty break. My favorite things in the world are cuddles, sleeping, and food—I’ll never say no to a tasty treat! I’m an easygoing pup who is happy doing whatever you’re doing, as long as I get to be with you. My sweet personality and happy-go-lucky attitude will brighten even the hardest days. I’m looking for a home where I won’t be left alone for long periods because I really don’t like being by myself. If I have to be left alone, I’ll need to be crated so I don’t get into trouble. I’d do best with someone who works from home, is retired, or just loves having a furry sidekick around all the time. If you’re looking for a loyal "ride or die" buddy who’s always up for an adventure (or a nap), I’m your guy! My adoption fee is $150 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/ ##2305706##

Story
Alaska is a little girl who came running to the shelter to hide, we assume she was scared after being run over At first glance we saw that she had a fracture in her hind leg, her first visit to the vet was to prepare her for an amputation, since her leg was beyond repair. After her recovery, she began to prepare to find her new home, currently she already has her vaccinations up to date, she is spayed and ready. She is a very pampered dog, like a big girl, waiting for love, affection and lots of cuddles, she likes to go for walks, eager to see new places, always happy, following you everywhere. She is very curious, elated to see you, and such an adorable, smart little girl. The fact that she is missing her leg does not stop her, she runs, plays and can even jump, she has adapted quite well to her new life. She is still a puppy, she will barely be a year old, she will not grow any more, she is medium, around 26 pounds. She is very protective with her family, she loves take a nap by your side, and she likes go to walks. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. Story
Ace is a very happy dog and he can jump high. We suspect that he is a Frenchie and Boxer Mix, or a Frenchie and Boston Terrier Mix. He is taller than other Frenchies. He is in excellent shape. The Vet believes he is 2 years old., he has cute puppy behavior. Ace is loving and a great companion. He has a happy personality and he loves to play and run. He loves to be petted, massaged, cuddled, and to relax on soft dog beds or pillows. Ace has a clipped tail that was done incorrectly. When he poops, it comes out fine, but sometimes the poop cakes on the inside of his clipped tail. He requires wipes or water hose rinsing after bowel movements to stay clean. He has 2 jackets and a pair of Christmas PJs. He loves to wear dog clothes, blankets, and pillows.

Story
Adoptable Gomez is one of the sweetest puppies we’ve met! He is about 12 months old, has a BEAUTIFUL brindle-ish coat, and is just a bundle of love. Gomez was listed at the shelter as a French bulldog mix and we actually think he probably does have some Frenchie - he has a cute little underbite and Frenchie ears 💗🥹 But he’s definitely mixed with some other things. He will be a medium sized dog as he’s only about 30 lbs at nearly 12 months old. Gomez loves other dogs, and is on the submissive side. He has done well with house training and crate training, but like any puppy will require some time and routine to get things down perfectly.

Story
I got mr. Pickles when he was 3 months. Around 1.5 years he began to show fearful aggression. I’ve gone through 2 trainers and he knows basic commands, but I think he’s too attached to me and has become overprotective. When he’s around his people he is a relaxed and loyal dog. He goes on short walks and sleeps a lot, so he’s a pretty low maintenance dog. It’s just that when he’s around strangers he gets crazy. He has bit people before and he is muzzled trained as well as crate trained. I love my dog so much and I am hoping to find him an extremely loving and safe home.

Story
Meet Giorgio: A Loving and Spirited Companion! Giorgio is a handsome 5-year-old French Bulldog with a big heart and plenty of personality. Currently in foster care, he’s looking for his forever home where he can thrive and be the center of attention. This sweet boy adores squeaky toys, playtime, and curling up on a soft, comfy bed after a busy day. In the mornings, you’ll often find him happily soaking up the sun—one of his favorite ways to relax. Giorgio has a wonderful personality that will definitely bring a smile to your face every day.Giorgio is happiest in a calm, structured environment. While he can live with one compatible dog companion, he would truly thrive as the only pet in the household. Due to his personality, Giorgio isn’t a good fit for a home with cats, so a dog-only home is necessary. He has overcome a challenging past, having come from an abusive situation before finding safety with his current foster family. Giorgio has shown incredible resilience, and with love, patience, and guidance, he has so much more to give.Giorgio’s ideal family is one that understands his needs, has the time to dedicate to him, and can provide a stable, loving home where he can shine. If you’re ready to give Giorgio the fresh start he deserves, reach out to learn more about this sweet and spirited boy!

Story
Pig is 6 years old and (will be 7 on 3/23) came into our home through a local breeder at 4 months old. He’s been a fun and loving addition to our family. We have one other dog and 2 cats and he has gotten along well with the other animals. As Pig has gotten older he has started to suffer from occasional seizures that can last for anywhere from a minute to a few minutes. After the seizures he comes back to normal but we have noticed some of his motor skills have suffered a bit overtime. We love him dearly but he’s becoming harder for our family to manage on a daily basis with normal life and family activities so we are looking for a warm, loving home for him to be adopted! Please reach out with any other questions!

Story
This funny mug belongs to Squashy Nice! We call her Squash, Squish, Squoosh, Smoosh, Shorty McSnorty, Speed Bump, or Buzzsaw ;) There’s probably more. How much time do you have? Squash is a petite Frenchie pup who had the misfortune to be used by a breeder, but when her basic medical needs started to put a dent in the profits, they abandoned her. She was found roaming the streets with such bad ear infections that the shelter thought she needed to have her ear canals closed permanently. Thankfully, after they saved her from moving vehicles, the shelter staff were able to start healing her ears with meds. Lucky girl! Because she can definitely hear! We finished the treatments with our awesome rescue vet, and now her ears look great and she's ready to find a responsible, loving family of her own! Squoosh was probably born around February 2023. She's not even two yet and has already been a mom, possibly more than once. She was emaciated when we first got her but looks great now at 22ish pounds – and it’s crucial for her health and joints that she doesn’t become overweight. She's a roly-poly little girl, not built like a greyhound at all :-) In fact, she's a lot like a potbelly pig, and she snorts enough to give the pigs a run for their money! She has the energy of an area rug, with an occasional zoomie thrown in ;) She was rather unruly, in the way of most adolescents, when she first walked through the door to her foster home, but she’s been working hard on her manners ever since! Her foster fam is so impressed with how much she has learned and how greatly her manners have improved. We know it's a lot for a lost little shelter dog to wrap their head around so quickly, and we’re really quite proud of her! And so, we are looking for pet parents who understand leadership and appreciate little puppies with lovely manners. We want to see Squash in a home with folks who will continue to reinforce her impressive behavior! Frenchies aren’t typically known for being polite and respectful, so we're excited to have the best mannered Frenchie on the planet in our rescue! She's a smart little gremlin and treat motivated too. You can't ask for much more than that. Squishy's forever family will have older children if any, and a peaceful, low energy environment preferably with a mellow companion dog. A fenced yard is required, doesn't have to be a big one. Stairs are difficult though, so a place without too many is best. She gets along with everyone she meets - although like most little dogs and like so many French bulls, she can be barky when she sees new people or dogs, but she'll turn it off if you ask her to! Her favorite hobbies include trying to steal the big dogs’ beds, taking naps, snuggling, farting (sometimes while napping/snuggling), eating, and laying in the middle of the floor in the best location to trip you up. Equally important, Squash's future family should fully understand the extra expenses that come with having a brachycephalic dog. These guys have been bred to look a certain way for human pleasure alone, but in doing so we've created a number of inherent health concerns. Many Frenchies need airway surgery so they can breathe easier - it's not cheap. Heat stroke is also a major concern when your face is smooshed back into your skull. A lot of bulldog types deal with skin issues and/or allergies (which a raw food diet can really help). Too many Frenchies are also afflicted with spinal issues, sometimes resulting in rear end paralysis. We’re looking for parents who are not afraid of the vet (and the cost), and who will be extra careful with her activity so she has less risk of spinal injury and IVDD. She already has a hitch in her step so she should take it easy, not be overly rambunctious, and absolutely no jumping on and off furniture. All this might seem like a tall ask, but if you want a fancy breeder dog, you’ve gotta accept all that comes with it. Frenchies are not the dog for everyone, but if you’re ready, hit us up! She’s a hoot and will keep you in stitches all day long. Even if she’s fast asleep! adoptions@waggingdog.org ~ Adoptions within Southern California only please ~ http://waggingdog.org/October 25, 2024, 12:15 am

Story
Kobe is 3 1/2 years old. He is your typical french bulldog, stubborn, with a lot of energy. He is crate trained and potty trained. He may tend to do things to get your attention for play time. He loves people and dogs. He loves sun bathing in the back yard and playing anywhere. He's not a barker or a talker. He is pretty chill during the day but when the whole family is home, is when the energy comes in. He also loves his baths. He maybe a challange with walks but with a good patient owner, he can be trained. He loves fetch, balls and frisbees. Looking for paw parent/s that has his same energy and time, to care for him as a family. He is up to date with vaccines, micro chipped, neutered, and AKC registered.

FTA app: https://form.jotform.com/201793643882060 The girl with the winning smile! Hey guys! I am Sussie, Sussie Q. I am a 4 year old, female Pug mix, spayed and about 11 lbs. Heard of the Chandler 55 case? Yes, I am a part of the disabled hoarded dog pack that was rescued from the monster house. With my sweet spirit and smile, you'd never guess what I have gone through. But only when you see my vet report! It's manageable I pawmise. I have Congenital Angular front limb deformity and Chronic orthopedic condition that affects mobility in hind legs that may have been caused by soft tissue injury that has healed. I do take dasuquin  for help. As long as I am being medically managed for mobility issues no surgery is necessary, but will not know know more until later. Surgery will be my adopter's financial responsibility if it is determined it is needed later by our future established vet. Regarding my training, I am leash trained for the 5-10 min walks I take due to leg deformities. The stroller with a soft blankie is my friend! I am pee pad trained. I am not crate trained. Now coming to my personality, the best part! My mama says that I am an absolute perfection! I love playing with dogs and toys, chewing on bones and sometimes your stuff haha but being all cute about it! I am a lap dog and you'd love my snuggles. If I could climb up on your shoulders and into your skin, I would do it! We can be best mates watching tv, all cuddling and being adorable. I am quite fond of dogs, but they have to have a sweet temperament because I can be the big mama. No cats please! I am very good with kids! I do get separation anxiety where I get anxious and scream, but having another dog completely calms me. I am obviously not a hiking dog, but I do make a good cafe date in my stroller. I am always grateful for my rescue and leaving behind that house of horrors. I do a lil dance when I get a new soft blanket and my zeal is infectious. I am the absolutely cutest little nugget that everyone falls in love with when they meet. I am looking for only the best home that will spoil me rotten because that is what this little princess deserves. If there are no dogs in the home I will need humans around for companionship. Any DINK couple around that likes to bring their dog everywhere with them? I am looking for a home with the best chew bones, softest blankets, and good sunbathing spots. If you think you have that X-factor, let's go get a drink together! My adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.
