Story
There is nothing bratty about cute little Bratt! He is around 5 to 6 months old and full of playful fun. We aren't quite sure of his breed mix but could maybe see French Bulldog, Beagle and Boston Terrier in him. We think he has some more growing to do but will be a medium sized guy when he is done growing. He is super sweet, good with other dogs, and eager to learn new things. He is working on house training and crate training. He loves to give kisses, chew on toys and do zoomies around the yard. Bratt is looking for a family that understands the time, patience, and energy needed to raise a young pup. Additionally, this cutie is going to need proper exercise, mental stimulation, and your attention and love to grow up to be the best companion. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting Bratt, then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today! We recommend completing the questionnaire and connecting with an adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps. Your interest in adopting a rescued dog or puppy from Labs and More Rescue is appreciated! Please find our adoption information at www.labsandmore.org. Your adoption donation provides funding for Labs and More, a nonprofit organization which is supported solely by Volunteers and funded by donations. Good news is your adoption donation can be considered tax deductible. So much care is provided to your new dog prior to the adoption, including: spay and neuter, microchip, veterinarian visit(s), vaccinations, and other medical care as needed. Many of the dogs we rescue require extensive surgeries and care prior to adoption. Please understand we are unable to predict future behavior or medical needs of your adopted dog. We provide no guarantees regarding behavior, breed, or age of the dogs. Thank you for rescuing. Story
Adoptable Gomez is one of the sweetest puppies we’ve met! He is about 5-6 months old, has a BEAUTIFUL brindle-ish coat, and is just a bundle of love. Gomez was on the urgent list at Riverside a few weeks ago simply for having an upper respiratory infection! We still want to give him another week before getting him neutered - just to make sure he is totally recovered from his URI. But this little pup is ready to find a long term foster or adoptive family 💗Gomez was listed at the shelter as a French bulldog mix and we actually think he probably does have some Frenchie - he has a cute little underbite and Frenchie ears 💗🥹 But he’s definitely mixed with some other things. He will be a medium sized dog as he’s only about 20 lbs at nearly 6 months old. Gomez loves other dogs, and is on the submissive side. He has done well with house training and crate training, but like any puppy will require some time and routine to get things down perfectly.

Story
Apple (fka Fiona from @sdhumanesociety) is settling in so nicely at her foster homea🥹💗 Apple is just the most bubbly and playful little frenchie! She arrived at San Diego Humane with a rectal prolapse. The medical staff took great care of her and she had a coloplexy repair. She is now doing great! We believe Apple is about 4 years old and she’s just the sweetst snuggle bug around! How could anyone resist this face?! She is great with other dogs, kids, and probably would do fine with cats! She's an all around great girl.

Jelly Bean the fabulous and fun Frenchie is now available! This gorgeous lady is a limited AKC dog and genetically health tested. Just 3 years old, this Brindle beauty has had one litter of pups before being spayed. She does well with other dogs but because she enjoys all the attention herself, she would be best in a single dog home. We are looking for someone who has Frenchie experience, works from home and has a nice yard for her to play in. Jelly Bean is a super awesome gal that will even 'talk' to you. She weighs 21 lbs, is vaccinated, microchipped, crate trained, house broken and knows some commands. If you would like this sweet baby in your home please contact Vicky @760-672-2258. Story
Meet Falafel! He is a frenchie American Bulldog Mix. and is about 6 y/o. He came into the shelter as a stray with ulcerated eyes, maggot-infested wound around his neck, and lacerations all over his body. After the vet examined him, it was determined that removal of his eyes was the only option to spare him of ongoing pain since they were infected beyond treatment. The scars on his body show the amount of neglect he endured, but he is so resilient and adjusting to his new lifestyle! In spite of his injuries, Falafel is a friendly and a spunky boy with a lot of personality! He loves getting pets and scratches from people! He is good with dogs, however, please keep in mind that he can appear pushy at times since he cannot see. He loves playing with squeaky toys while also enjoying long naps throughout the day! Falafel would do best with a family where he isn’t left alone for long periods of time and who is patient with him as he continues to adjust.

Story
The girl with the winning smile! Hey guys! I am Sussie, Sussie Q. I am a 3.5 years old, female Pug mix, spayed and about 11 lbs. Heard of the Chandler 55 case? Yes, I am a part of the disabled hoarded dog pack that was rescued from the monster house. With my sweet spirit and smile, you’d never guess what I have gone through. But only when you see my vet report! It’s manageable I pawmise. I have Congenital Angular front limb deformity and Chronic orthopedic condition that affects mobility in hind legs that may have been caused by soft tissue injury that has healed. I have started a monthly injection of Librela (Cost depends on established vet pricing and dosage, ~$100-$200). It is the first and only monthly anti-NGF Monoclonal antibody injection to help control pain for canines with Osteoarthritis. At this time, my foster mom states that the Librela is working. As long as I am being medically managed for mobility issues no surgery is necessary, but will not know know more until later. Surgery will be my adopter's financial responsibility if it is determined it is needed later by our future established vet. Regarding my training, I am leash trained for the 5-10 min walks I take due to leg deformities. The stroller with a soft blankie is my friend! I am pee pad trained. I am not crate trained. Now coming to my personality, the best part! My mama says that I am an absolute perfection! I love playing with dogs and toys, chewing on bones and sometimes your stuff haha but being all cute about it! I am a lap dog and you'd love my snuggles. If I could climb up on your shoulders and into your skin, I would do it! We can be best mates watching tv, all cuddling and being adorable. I am quite fond of dogs, but big ones are scarier and need warming up time. I haven't met cats yet, but I think I will be fine. what, how do I even chase them?! I am very good with kids! I do get separation anxiety where I get anxious and scream, but having another dog completely calms me. I am obviously not a hiking dog, but I do make a good cafe date in my stroller. I am always grateful for my rescue and leaving behind that house of horrors. I do a lil dance when I get a new soft blanket and my zeal is infectious. I am the absolutely cutest little nugget that everyone falls in love with when they meet. I am looking for only the best home that will spoil me rotten because that is what this little princess deserves. If there are no dogs in the home I will need humans around for companionship. Any DINK couple around that likes to bring their dog everywhere with them? I am looking for a home with the best chew bones, softest blankets, and good sunbathing spots. If you think you have that X-factor, let's go get a drink together! My adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. ATTENTION:  All of our dogs are in private foster homes.  We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs.  If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application.    We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Introducing Twila! Twila is a 1-year-old, 19 pound Pug mix who looks just like a miniature boxer.  Twila is a loving girl who has been spoiled by the love of humans. She adores humans and other dogs.  She is very playful and interested in toys too. Twila thrives on affection and will come sit next to you for pets. At home she is quiet, and calm (if you are calm), but can be playful and excited if you are up for it. She has made the rare bark at the landscaper, but easily corrected with a no.  She has not barked at the Amazon delivery driver. She enjoys going on walks, has a tendency to pull, but easily corrected with some training tricks.  We would recommend a few training classes with a certified trainer to get Twila to be her best self. Twila is well-behaved, calm on car rides, does not beg much, and sleeps through the night in her crate with no accidents. She would rather sleep in your bed, but crating Twila will help when you have to go to work and she can self-soothe while she misses you. First entering her crate she may whine, but a correction of "No" and she begins the process of relaxation. Twila has been so loved by humans she does not know how to love her own company. Crating Twila will help her learn to enjoy her own quiet time, relaxing in her personal safe space. Twila is still a young dog and needs exercise to help her relax and burn energy.  Twila is still working on her potty training and hasn't quite picked it up yet. You'd need to give her time to adjust to the sounds outside, then a moment to find a bush (to go behind) and do her business. She will need a patient owner to help her become a pro at going quicker.  Twila is familiar with humans and is comfortable being handled. She would be okay around older respectful children who do not exceed her energy level and are mindful of putting their hands in her face.  Twila absolutely loves playing fetch and tug of war with larger dogs and has been very gentle towards older, small dogs. Twila is eager to please her own human family. Could you see yourself being loved by her, unconditionally?  She is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $300. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.   Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs,   vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to  www.secondchancedogrescue.org  and complete an application today!    All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.  August 19, 2024, 4:42 pm
