Story
Joannie was found as a stray extremely emaciated and less than half her current weight now. She was missing fur on her body, face and ears. She has been nurses back to health and is doing wonderfully. While her age and exact history is unknown, it is clear she has mothered more than enough litters in her short lifetime. Joannie is mostly housebroken and mostly crate trained, although she does need a special type of crate because she likes to chew on metal bars! She currently eats all meals in her crate as she has a tendency to be protective of her food.  Joannie is a stage 5 clinger in the best way possible! If snuggling were an Olympic sport, she would take home the gold. She lives for attention from every human she meets! Her favorite things include: all things water, chew toys and bones, playing with her doggy friends, and carefully inspecting the yard in her foster home.  She is fostered with dogs of all sizes and does great with everyone. She has not met any cats, but does have a pretty strong prey drive.  Joannie is an escape artist, and extra precautions will need to be taken in her furever home around doors and gates.  *Joannie is in foster care on Martha’s Vineyard. Her adopter must be willing to travel to the island if not currently residing there.    is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (puppies under the age of 6 months may not be sterilized prior to adoption, if this is the case your adoption coordinator will discuss the process with you). Story
Lillian is a 3 year old French Bulldog with a friendly disposition, both with other dogs and humans.  She is a great snuggler too.  She is being fostered in a home with 4 other dogs around her size or smaller, and is good with all of them.  She happily plays with the ones that are interested and leaves the ones that aren't interested alone.  Lillian enjoys stuffed animal toys and a nice yak chew.  She loves to lay outside in a sunny spot for a nap or rolling around in the grass.    Lillian sleeps in her crate all night and will also take a stuffed toy into it with her to relax.  She is working on housebreaking and does pretty well if given lots of opportunities to go out.  Lillian loves food and will eat any kibble the other dogs don't immediately finish.  She is fed separately right now so that everyone has a chance to eat peacefully, especially the slower eaters. Lillian also enjoys a nice walk and does well on the leash, but tends to get a little tangled up, so with need some work on this. Lillian is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered.
