Story
Luna is a 5 year old Beagle/ French bulldog mix. She loves attention and could be pet all day if you let her. She loves to bask in the sun. She recently developed IVDD, which essentially means she had a herniated disc. She had surgery two months ago and she is walking MUCH better now. This summer, however, has been really hard for me. We live in the city. Luna walks slowly. She won’t be allowed to run or jump again to ensure she doesn’t develop IVDD again. I am a single mom and have another very active dog. It’s hard for me to take care of my kids and the give Luna the care she needs while also making sure my other dog gets what he needs. I want Luna to have a happy life with someone who has the time to dedicate to her, preferably with a yard. Luna likes older kids, but is not as good with little ones that like to get in her face. My heart hurts making this decision, but I think it will be best her quality of life.

Story
Luna has been a beloved member of our family since she was born, and at 8 years old, she is a wonderful companion, especially when it comes to cuddling. However, as our family has grown to include three small children, we’ve noticed that the busy atmosphere of our home has become too much for her. The constant activity and noise have been stressful for Luna, leading to behaviors like barking, growling, and even nipping at our kids. After a lot of thought, we have come to the heartbreaking conclusion that Luna might be happier in a new home where she can feel more at peace. Luna needs a quiet, child-free environment where she can relax and just be herself. While she might be a little excited when meeting new people, she quickly warms up and shows her sweet, loving side. This decision has been incredibly hard, but we believe it what is best for Luna. We are hoping to find someone who can give her the calm and love she truly deserves.
