You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application HEADLINER :  Wherever we go, whatever we do, we’re gonna get through it together!   With you for me and me for you  We'll muddle through whatever we do,  Together, together, wherever, wherever Together, wherever we go!... Meet Bella Wella Woo, one half of the Bella/Turkey Man Blue team.  HISTORY : Bella and Blue were turned into a local shelter together because their owner could no longer afford their care.                               PERSONALITY : Bella is one feisty, mega personality in a small package dog. She loves Blue but “adores” her people. Bella purportedly loves to watch the movie Shrek and just “you” try resisting those big, beautiful, brown eyes! Neither Bella nor Blue are destructive when left alone. Bella may be small, but she is mighty! FAVORITE ACTIVITIES : Bella enjoys playing tug of war, keep away, and bitey face with Blue. She would love a lap, any lap, “your” lap to curl up in. MEDICAL ISSUES : Bella was recently spayed, however, once she’s recovered she and her partner in crime, Blue, will be ready to find their “furever” home. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME : While with time and slow introductions Bella would get along fine with a canine companion other than Blue (large or small), Bella would love a home with Blue where they could be the only pups vying for their adopter’s attention. Bella did live with a cat in her previous home and, therefore, would probably not mind sharing a home with a dog savvy kitty, however, Bella’s current foster does not own a cat and is unable to confirm as to whether or not this statement is true. Bella could use some leash work on pulling.  ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:   Blue and Bella love and look forward to car rides. They settle right in and you don’t hear a peep from either one the entire ride. Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. These include but are not limited to pull fees from shelters, veterinary examinations, vaccinations, medications and care, microchips, neuter/spay surgeries, heartworm treatments, behavior evaluations, and foster care, as needed. Important notes before applying. Adopters must have their primary residence in one of the following states: Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, and parts of North Carolina. We will not adopt giant breed dogs to renters. Homes with children under 6 years of age will not be approved for adoption. Homes with children should have a fenced yard. Pets currently in the applicant's home must have a history of appropriate veterinary care. Homes with intact dogs will not be approved for adoption.  Proof of any of the following exceptions is required: The intact dog is a working member of a law enforcement, or search and rescue/recovery team. The intact dog is registered under the auspices of the American Kennel Club and is actively being shown. A veterinarian has determined the sterilization procedure would harm the intact dog.  We believe in Force Free Training Methods and do not approve of methods or devices using pain or force to control the dog, or to deter undesirable behavior.  Homes with highly varnished steps must have carpeting, securely fixed stair treads, or a non-skid surface. **We encourage you to remediate potential safety issues while your application is under review, prior to the home visit. Meet Turkey Man Blue, one half of the Turkey Man Blue/Bella Wella Woo team. Turkey Man Blue responds best to just “Blue” (although at times it fits, he was just a little embarrassed by the nickname Turkey Man).  HISTORY : Blue and Bella  were turned into a local shelter together because their owner could no longer afford their care. Since Blue and Bella have been in foster care, they’ve put on some much needed weight (Blue certainly loves his food and takes his treats gently).                               PERSONALITY : Blue is a sensitive, calm, cool, collected, snuggle buddy, and, let’s face it, what dog doesn’t love a belly rub! Blue is all about the belly rubs. While he adores his companion Bella, Blue “worships” his people and will whine (but settle down quickly) when his people leave the room/house. Blue has quite the commanding bark! It’s hard to believe that such a bark comes from a dog his size. Neither Blue nor Bella are destructive when left alone. FAVORITE ACTIVITIES : Blue enjoys playing tug of war, keep away from, and bitey face with Bella. He would love a lap, any lap, “your” lap to curl up in. MEDICAL ISSUES : None. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME : While Blue gets along well with dogs his size or smaller, large dogs make him nervous. He would very much love a home where he and Bella could be the only pups vying for their adopter’s attention. Blue did live with a cat in his previous home  and, therefore, would probably not mind sharing a home with a dog savvy kitty, however, Blue’s current foster does not currently own a cat and is unable to confirm as to whether or not this statement is true. Blue would also love a home where his person is home most of the day.  Blue could use some leash work on pulling.  ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:   Blue and Bella love and look forward to car rides. Story
Meet Raven! This beautiful, sweet, playful 4 year old Frech Bulldog is looking for her forever home. Raven is as lovable as they come—she’s a gentle soul with a fun-loving spirit. Whether she's chasing after toys, playing with her favorite humans, or snuggling up for a cozy nap, Raven will brighten all your days! Raven’s foster mom describes her as “absolute perfection” and says she has every good Frenchie quality and none of the bad. She’s a little ball of love wrapped in fur. If you’re ready for a loyal, affectionate, SWEET friend who will always bring a smile to your face, Raven is the girl for you! Like most Frenchies Raven does have some medical issues. While in foster care, Raven was treated for what was likely had IVDD. Raven was treated with prednisone and responded immediately. She’s been in great health since, but her adopter must understand this breed can be hardy yet fragile. Raven was also diagnosed with hip dysplasia and a low grade (1 – no biggie) luxating patella in her right knee. It is suggested she stay on a joint supplement for life. With all that said – Raven joyfully goes about her days playing with her foster siblings. She would do well in pretty much any home environment. Raven is EASY. She loves life and everyone in it. Raven hasn’t been tested with cats but can be for the right adopter. Sweet Ravey is UTD on vaccines, spayed, had nares surgery (bc frenchie), microchipped, and on preventatives. She is living in Levittown, PA with 2 bichons and a big pittie and she gets along beautifully with all. If Raven sounds like she’d be a good addition to your family and you promise to love and snuggle her for life, please apply only on our website today! *We suggest using a PC over a phone or tablet. **Please note: A separate meet and greet with potential adopters and all resident pets is required prior to final approval. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Bella: Your Snuggle Buddy!Bella is a charming 7-year-old, 18 lb., French Bulldog mix who is ready to find her forever home. As a retired breeder, she has blossomed into a loving companion who adores spending time with her people. Bella is incredibly affectionate and loves to snuggle all day long, making her the perfect lap dog for anyone seeking warmth and companionship.Bella is a sweet and gentle soul who thrives on human interaction. She enjoys being close to her loved ones and will happily curl up next to you for hours. While she can be selective with her dog friends, she has a heart full of love for those she trusts. Bella is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations. She has had some mammary tumors removed, but she is currently healthy and ready to enjoy her golden years. Bella is looking for a patient and understanding family who can provide her with the love and attention she deserves.Bella would thrive in a calm and loving environment where she can be the center of attention. Due to her high prey drive, a home with no cats where she can be the only dog or have a compatible canine companion would be ideal. If you’re looking for a loyal friend who will fill your days with affection and joy, Bella is the one for you!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.12/14/24 STILL AVAILABLE 11/28/24 Poundcake (brown) and Shortbread (brindle) have been with me in rescue since they were 8wks old. They are now about a year old. These sweet girls have spina bifida which has left them completely incontinent. Other than incontinence, they have no other health problems. They are so deserving of a good life and forever home. They do well with diapers but require frequent changes because they are constantly dribbling. It would be helpful to express their bladders fully before diapering, to reduce their output. They currently sleep in a crate with a grate in bottom to stay clean. And they spend time on my porch which can be hosed off, on nice days. Unfortunately, I'm not in a position to devote the time they deserve. They need homes of their own! They are SO SWEET. They can be adopted separately or together. They are excellent with other dogs of all sizes. They currently weigh about 45-50 lbs. They are spayed and up to date on everything.
