Story
Dodger von Dobeln is an adorable 3 month old, long haired, big boned German Shepherd puppy. For some reason the staff at the shelter decided to shave him. But no worries, dog fur grows back incredibly fast and this baby will have his gorgeous fluffy coat back in no time. More pictures coming. Rescued from the Baldwin Park animal shelter. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN Dodger von Dobeln YOU MUST FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE: www.sheprescue.org Application link: http://www.sheprescue.org/Application_to_Adopt_a_Dog%20Main.html Based on our experience, Westside's current thinking is to usually match first-time shepherd owners with a mix versus a purebred shepherd. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.

Story
This beautiful girl has been through a lot. She was adopted as a puppy, then returned to the rescue she was adopted from where she lived for the last few years. Now that rescue closed and she is here. We believe she is about 5 years old and German Pinscher mix, she knows a few basic commands, loves hikes and especially her toys. We think she would thrive with an active person or family and as an only dog and in an adult only home or home with teenagers. She does need an experienced adopter to help her live her best life. She is unbelievably sweet and loving once she gets to know you but you will need to earn it. We are asking anyone interested in Holly to plan on spending time with her here at our rescue a few times before she is adopted. We are located in Agua Dulce, Ca. We will also be providing free training with our trainer for the right adopter. You can see so many videos of Holly on our Instagram page which is @thebrittanyfoundation / search / click #brittanysholly Please note: Because we require home checks adoptions are limited to the Los Angeles, Ca area.

Story
Meet Borris! He was found as a stray and brought to a high kill shelter. He is a sweet boy. He loves walks and enjoys spending time with volunteers. He is very spry for his age. He is active but not overly energetic. He has a heart murmur and takes medication for it daily. He would do best in a household with no other dogs. Be ready to adopt. Adoptions can happen quickly so be prepared for our call, only apply for dogs that every family member in the home wants, and wait to apply until you return from your vacation. Please fill out our online application and our adoption counselor will reach out to you to discuss meeting your new family member.
