Story
Heartworm Positive She can be adopted but can’t go home until 4/4 when she gets spayed. I am heartworm positive…but you can still love me! My adoption fee is $300 which covers my annual distemper booster, rabies, and being spayed/neutered and microchipped. The rescue will pay for the injections for HW treatment at Shoreline Vet. in Jacksonville. My adopter would be responsible for the take home meds which average about $200, depending on size, over the 4-month span of treatment. Nettie has been the best adult foster I have had in my home.  She came to our home very pregnant and 1 week later had 9 healthy babies. She has been the best mom to them! Nettie didn’t come with the aggressive hormone behavior that a lot of momma dogs have, and she trusted us immediately. She instantly connected with the 2 smaller dogs in the home. With a little time, she became friends with the larger dogs and the cat in our home. This girl is so sweet and loves to play with everybody, including the cat! She loves attention but does not need it 24/7. She loves to play with a hard bone all by herself. She cuddles up and watches tv with us at night and loves to have her belly rubbed. She is potty and crate trained. She will bark or whine at you to go outside. She has learned the words crate, inside, outside, potty and poop. When she is happy, she smiles with her teeth, cutest thing in the world. She is easily corrected by the other dogs when they’re not in the mood to play. She wants a warm lap or couch to sleep on and a yard to play, she loves to run. She would love to be part of a pack (fur siblings). She is in pack of 7 dogs in our home. March 27, 2025, 11:17 am
