Update on Luddy: FOSTER NEEDED ‼️ Luddy weighs around 77 pounds and weighed only 40lbs when coming to the rescue when he was rescued off the chain. He is doing fantastic with being an indoor doggie. He has learned to go potty outside and not inside, he sleeps really well in his crate or occasionally in the bed or couch with his previous foster. He walks really well on the leash now too and loves to go on adventures, explore, and hiking trips! He pulls slightly but is learning and doing very well! Luddy needs a new foster as soon as possible. If you can foster, Southern Paws Animal Rescue will supply everything Luddy needs. It won’t cost you a dime! Just give him a safe place to stay while he waits for his forever family to find him. He is going through heartworm treatment and has about 6 weeks left, so he will need to stay inside the home except for leashed potty walks, because the heat will make him feel bad. Due to limited number of fosters, Luddy is being fostered with several other foster dogs and we are looking to spread these fosters out to more foster homes where they can get more individualized attention. Cats are a little too interesting to Luddy, so a home without cats would be best for him. Luddy would do well in a home without pets or a home with large female dogs. If you can foster this precious boy, or would like to give him a forever home, please call/text 205-239-1415 or email southernpawsanimalrescue@gmail.com Luddy is an available through Southern Paws Animal Rescue, Alabama in Northport.

Story
Meet Fable! She is around 9 months old. Her birthday is April 20, 2023. She is potty trained. She has had 1 DAPP vaccination, 2 DHLPP vaccinations, a rabies vaccination, dewormer, spayed, and microchipped. She is on monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. We estimate Fable to be a large sized dog full grown. It is unknown at this time how she is around cats, because she has never been around them, but being a puppy would probably be okay with proper introductions. The mother was a full blooded German Shepard and their vet suspects they have some Great Dane in them. Story
We are very heartbroken to need to find our dog a new home. He did not receive training (outside of potty training) his first 7 months and when we adopted him he was in dominance. After setting some boundaries and working with him over the last 7 months he has come a long way but still switches into dominance and also has some anxiety/attachment tendencies that add to his behaviors. We do not feel we are fit to fully train him and have young children and other animals that are around him all the time. It would be safest for everyone if he were in a home where someone is more experienced in training, only older children were present on a regular basis, and less submissive animals were accessible to him. He does well with other animals if they can hold their own including our cat. He would also do well with space to run or being kept active. He has absolutely no issues with his potty training and also sleeping through the night. He is so sweet, loving, fun and obviously so cute.

Story
Ella's goal in life is to live simply and bring joy to the people she adores, children included. Incredibly sweet, she has great manners (her foster family raves that she is the best foster they've ever had!) Good-natured, this gal pal lives with multiple dogs, and is eager to please. Ella wouldn't mind one bit if you allowed her to sleep in bed with you . Treats always welcomed! Ella is the best work from home assistant paws down! Her nickname is Princess and you should be able to guess why! She prefers women over men, but give her a little time to warm up and the kisses will flow. Est. birthdate is 4/3/2021, 34 lbs., vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. Adoption fee $300.00. Are you the one to own her heart? Ella is feeling hopeful! She can't wait to be spoiled by her forever family.

Story
Kobe is a very special boy. 4 years old this August, very active and has a goofy personality. Ball and play is life. Very much a lover, not dominant. Unfortunately he had a fce spinal stroke last year, the vet says it most likely wont happen ever again but since the stroke Kobe has become incontinent, wears a diaper inside. Since Im renting and dont have a fenced in yard its been very hard to care for him and let him out as much as he needs and often keeps his diapers full. I think its time to let him be an outside dog, hopefully one with a friend. Looking for a fenced in yard and someone who wants a best friend protector. Message me for any questions.
