Story
Location: Washington Jessie is about 1.5 yrs. old. She is very friendly, sweet and loves to meet new folks. She is also dog friendly with dog of all sizes. She has a medium energy level. She is a shadow dog that needs to be right with her people at all times. She would not be a good fit with small children, as when she gets over stimulated, she can jump and get playfully mouthy. Not in a mean way, she is just young. Jessie has a few health issues. She has a 5/6 heart murmur. She does just fine with it, but in the future will most likely need vet visits to monitor it. She also has thyroid issues she takes meds for every day. She came in with a severe head tilt and it's believed to be caused by her thyroid issues. Her tilt has gotten way better since on the meds. She also gets car sick and does not enjoy long car rides, short ones are fine and she does really well in the car. Do you think this sweet girl would be a good match for you? Let the good people at Save The Dals know: info@savethedals.org

Story
Kona is a sweet, smart, healthy, and athletic girl. I adopted her in 2016 and at the time, the vet said was 2-3 years old. I was single then and had lots of time time to spend with her. I’m now married with two small children, a full time job (active duty military) and a husband who deploys regularly. I can no longer give Kona the get the exercise or attention she deserves and she is home alone all day which causes her anxiety. It pains me to have to look for a better home for her, but the circumstances of my life aren’t fair to her. I’m hoping to find someone who can love her and give her the attention she deserves.

Story
I am a gentle giant and also a big scaredy cat!  I was humanely trapped after months or years (no one knows) surviving on my own sneaking into a wilderness camp finding scraps and running from people.  Once caught I was placed in multiple homes (by the shelter), lost by all of them and then returned.  No one understood my need to feel safe first and fear of people of any kind.  My last placement led me here when no one could catch me.  After my third capture I  got what I learned TO LOVE.  I now welcome treats, affection, human interaction and love my dog friends.   I thrive with an outgoing dog.  When I attend events or pack walks I immediately make my fur friends my pack and need them close.  I transiftion well from one dog friend to another but will need a Solid FOREVER Soulmate owner.  It's taken me a long time to gain trust, find my love for people and affection so this change for me needs to be once.  When I know you're safe you are MY solid and I will spend all my time wanting to be with you. I LOVE walking on a leash.  Despite my enormitiy I am a mouse on the line (unless something scares me).  I am ready to retire and become someone's forever.  It's important that my new home be prepared to be patient, let me get to know them, love me until I do and keep me safe with no new changes.  It's a big ask but certainly someone out there has a dog needing a friend and a permanent plan that does not involve moves or a need to change once I move in.  Some things to know about me-noise sensitive (loud noises, squeak toys)-has no idea how large he is and wants to curl in your lap-doesn’t like his feet touched and will avoid it at all cost-loves to share his toys and crate space with his friends-watches other dogs in his run to see how brave he needs to be with new people-food motivated-not overly destructive with his toys (or if he is, he blames it on the other dogs )-walks really well on leash-Prefers to be a “homebody”.   Flight Risk: do not leave unattended in a yard, crate training is a must when you are gone, tight grip on the leash is a must on adventures. Story
Meet beautiful Molly. She was found in the middle of nowhere, in the bones, and with too much fear, she tried to bite us until she could understand that we were not going to hurt her, we just wanted to help her, and she got on her belly, letting me know that she trusted me. She is a really sweet, intelligent, loving dog, she has too much love to give, and she needs to receive even more. She is a very loyal dog, and tends to dance with her front paws when she gets excited. She gets excited when she goes for a walk, she likes to see new places and sometimes she is a little shy at first with strangers but she understands quickly when people don't want to hurt her. On the contrary when she knows that people are a threat to her or to you, she is very protective. She gets along well with very few male dogs, she is dominant and does not usually play with other dogs, but she gets along very well with adults and children, she would be ideal for a family with small children, she knows how to measure her strength, and she is not at all rude with babies. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date.
