Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Chaos is an energetic, playful, and loyal German Shepherd Dog. Chaos can be extremely sweet and loving. He is suspected to be around 2 years old! Chaos had been living out in the woods on his own for months when he was found, he was emaciated and struggling to trust humans. He was terrified of loud sounds from cars and trucks to other dogs barking and very timid to meet new people. He is such a trooper though, after the first couple of weeks he was opening up. He began showing his intelligence and desire to learn, as well as sharing his strong personality! Chaos is now thriving with structure and training. He knows his basic commands (sit, place, stay, kennel, come) and has significantly improved his leash walking. He has also shown better behavior walking. Chaos needs a home that is going to continue to dedicate time to his training. He appears to be a working line shepherd, (seen in his drive and high energy levels) and needs an active family. He will thrive in a home that continues to foster his learning, challenges him and engages him to meet his very high activity level, and provides a secure, loving environment. He would fit best into a family with teenage children or older. As much as we can see that he wants to be social with other dogs, he is still working on his manners when being introduced to other dogs. We would love for him to be the only dog in the home so he can get individual attention and continue to grow. He is still working on remaining calm on his leash when he sees other dogs out and about. Chaos does likes to be the “boss” and when he doesn’t get his way, can be stubborn. This is why we stress training, as this is what has allowed him to bond with new people, build confidence and trust, and find comfort in a home. He needs a home with a fenced in yard. LOCATED IN PORT ST. LUCIE Meet Chaos! Chaos is an energetic, playful, and loyal German Shepherd Dog. He is suspected to be around 2 years old! Chaos had been living out in the woods on his own for most of his life. When he was found, he was emaciated and struggling to trust humans. Others had been trying to capture Chaos for over 10 months since he was spotted in the woods, but it wasn’t until November when he finally allowed someone to get close. He was terrified of loud sounds from cars and trucks to other dogs barking and very timid to meet new people. 10 months plus on the streets had obviously hindered him in his socialization. He is such a trooper though, that after the first couple of weeks he was opening up. He began showing his intelligence and desire to learn, as well as sharing his strong personality! Chaos is now thriving with structure and training. He knows his basic commands (sit, place, stay, kennel, come) and has significantly improved his leash walking with a training collar. He has shown better behavior walking and felt more comfortable with the use of the training collar along with consistent and loving leadership.
