This gorgeous 2-year-old, 67-pound German Shepherd is as smart as she is stunning! Though she wasn’t the right fit for her last family, she’s ready to find a home that appreciates her intelligence, loyalty, and playful spirit. Cira gets along well with other dogs and enjoys their company, though she can be a bit mouthy when she plays. As for cats, she was curious but ultimately chose to ignore them, and she showed little prey drive around chickens.Cira is house-trained, crate-trained, and completed a two-week board-and-train program to refine her manners and commands. Her trainer described her as highly engaged, eager to bond, and responsive to feedback. She respects boundaries with other dogs and was gentle around a young child.At the rescue, Cira has been a laid-back girl who enjoys belly rubs, walks, chewing on bones, and a good game of fetch. She would thrive in a home that values her intelligence and provides the structure and affection she craves. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it.
