Story
Hello there! I`m a sweet boy looking for my furever home! I came here as a transfer from another shelter, so not much is known about my past. I can be shy with new people, but warm up quick. I seem to be housetrained and know commands SIT and DOWN. Come meet me today to see if we are a good fit! :)Joe came to us with a condition called Pannus. This is a disease that affects the cornea and third eyelids. His was left untreated for quite some time and caused him to go blind. He has recently had eye removal surgery so he is looking for a patient, understanding, quiet, calm home to recover in. We do not know how he does with other dogs, cats, or kids at this time.

Story
Hi, my name is Carl and I'm looking for my very own adventure buddy! I am approximately 5-6 month old and they call me a Shepherd mix. I am a sweet, active boy who loves my people and being goofy. I am learning basic commands, crate and house training in my foster home. My foster mom says I am highly intelligent with maybe a touch of ADHD. :) I love playing with other dogs, but I can be a bit protective of my favorite toys and food. I love all people, but may bit to much for smaller humans. Since I'm so energetic, I would love to meet a family who can keep me active, burn off all my energy, and teach me new things. My foster mom says I would make a wonderful hiking partner. I need a 6 ft. fence or to be 100% watched at all times outside as I can jump high and fences are no match for me! :) *Adopters must live in Central Indiana, no more than 45 min from downtown Indy *Please visit website for how to adopt: https://sketchymuttsandunderdogs.org/adopt

Story
Hi, my name is Ellie! I am a approximately 5-6 month old shepherd/hound mix. My foster mom figured I was all shepherd until I opened my mouth and bayed like an old hound dog! I am a sweet girl who is looking for a home with other doggies to play with. I am good with all sized people, as long as the children are sturdy! :) I've got lots of puppy energy and sometimes don't know my own strength. I am working on my crate and house training, along with tricks in my foster home. I currently live with both dogs and cats and I love both! I can be sweet, snuggly, but do have a shy side. I'm a smart girl, but sometimes my hound side shows and I need a patient adopter who will work with me. Are you my forever family!? *Adopters must live in Central Indiana, no more than 45 min from downtown Indy *Please visit website for how to adopt: https://sketchymuttsandunderdogs.org/adopt

Story
Bear had been running as loose dog for close to a year despite having a home. They couldn’t contain him, and he kept escaping. Bear was found by Sketchy Mutts and Underdogs with infected punctures on his face and legs from a dog fight. He was taken to the vet and his owners decided to relinquish his care to help him find his fresh start. Slowly but surely, Bear is getting used to his new digs. He enjoys interacting with all the volunteers and his personality is really shining through. He’s a very sweet dog, he loves to be close to humans and LOVES pets. He is especially fond of children and does incredibly well with them. Likely a call-back to when he could be found hanging out with the kids at the bus stop in his stray days. :) Bear has done well with the other dogs in passing, although we haven’t had him in play groups because of his injuries. He did well with multiple other stray dogs while on the street. We desperately want to find a home for Bear so he can live a long and happy life as an inside dog. Could you be Bear’s new start? *Adopters must live in Central Indiana, no more than 45 min from downtown Indy *Please note that we do not operate on a first come first served basis. *Please visit website for how to adopt: https://sketchymuttsandunderdogs.org/adopt

Story
Benny is approximately one year old and already knows basic commands like sit, lay down, and stay. PLUS he's already crate trained! :) His fosters say he is a TOTAL snuggle bug and loves attention. He does very well with his foster brother Winston and loves to wrestle and go on walks. Benny is a BIG fan of all things chew toys and loves chewing on bones. He is high energy and can sometimes get mouthy when he's playing. But even so, Benny currently lives with a baby human and he is gentle and sweet, just watching and doing his best to play along. You couldn't ask for a better friend. Benny was found as a stray a few weeks ago and his finders decided to foster him. His family never came to claim him so we're hoping his next home is FOREVER. Could you be the right family for Benny? *Adopters must live in Central Indiana, no more than 45 min from downtown Indy *Please visit website for how to adopt: https://sketchymuttsandunderdogs.org/adopt

Story
Bailey is a beautiful female Yellow Lab/Shepherd Mix puppy who came to Misty Eyes with her sister, Nala, due to a change in family circumstances. She is 7 months old and weighs 35 lb. Bailey is very loving and prefers to be near her people at all times. She is a cuddling expert! Like all puppies, she is playful and active. She does require exercise multiple times a day. She would do best in a home with other young dogs for her to play with or a family that is prepared to give her the exercise she needs. She has already developed a love for chasing Frisbees! Bailey would also benefit from a course in basic dog manners. Bailey is intelligent and has figured out how to escape her foster’s fenced-in backyard through digging and climbing. Although she has escaped multiple times, she has stayed on the property each time. Bailey has made huge strides in potty training in just a few short weeks. She is almost completely potty trained with only the occasional accident. Bailey is a wonderful dog that has made so much progress in the short time she has been with Misty Eyes! She wants to love, be loved, and play! If you`d like to meet Bailey, please submit an adoption application online at https://www.mistyeyes.org/adoptionapplication
