Story
Elwood is a big ole pup filled with love. He wants to be a couch potato with his people. He was adopted by my ex husband, and when we divorced I kept him. My medical situation has changed and I am no longer able to keep him. I absolutely hate rehoming him, but at this time with my medical issues. Elwood does have some arthritis is his back right hip. It doesn’t keep him down! He loves to play in the snow. He would do great at a place he could be outside and bark at the birds (who are his arch nemesis)! Once he has completed his mission in keeping your house safe from the birds he would love to cuddle up for the night. He really is a big ole baby! You’ll be his favorite taking him on car rides and getting him a pup cup!

Story
We love this dog very much but she has some special considerations. We have a 6 ft fence and she can jump it, and she does jump it. We knew she was a runner so we were prepared for that. However, a neighbor picked up her up the last time she jumped the fence, and they are known abusive people. I cannot risk having her jump the fence again and getting into their hands. It was a huge fight to get her back, but I do have her microchipped so I was able to do that. The deal breaker is that she tried to bite my young child. Unfortunatley, she is not safe around children at this time and may not be in the future. Nothing happened, I was quick to intervene, but it's not a safe situation for her or the children. She is very sweet and cuddly. She is pretty high energy.

Story
Hello, this is Bourbon. She was a puppy rescue from "Bones to Beds". We have had her for the last 4 years, she will be turning 5 in March. She is a very shy cautious dog who is frightened by anything unknown. Due to this she has frequent anxiety and has been deemed a reactive dog. We've worked with professional dog trainers (Sit Means Sit) to help with this and it was very helpful for a few years. Bourbon listens to commands very well if she is in an environment with no distractions. An issue of resources guarding has developed in the last few years which we have been trying to mitigate. However we have (2) cats in the family and the guarding has now extend to them. We have been sent to the vet a number of times for injuries to the cats from Bourbon. The hard thing for us is Bourbon does not show signs of being aggressive until she explodes. We think she might have rage syndrome as she will wake from sleep in a frenzy. Otherwise she is a very cuddly loving girl, who loves scritches

She doesn’t bark when people are at the front door and is people friendly. She loves truck rides. Does well with children any age. Would do best in a somewhat active family.
