Story
Who’s looking for the perfect watchdog and active partner?! Well, let us introduce you to LEGION. Legion is a year and a half old German Shepherd mix, weighing over 70lbs. Legion loves being outside and going on adventures. Legion would make a great running partner as he does not stop to smell the flowers and can go for miles if needed. Legion does best with other dogs with high energy play styles as he likes to play hard. Legion is currently attending doggy daycare 2-3 times a week. Cats do not like Legion as he does not understand that they don’t want to play and his charm doesn’t seem to win them over. Legion is very smart and loves to learn. Legion knows his basic commands is continuing to learn different training. Legion currently goes on multiple leashed walks a day. Legion loves to play fetch and chewing on bones or hard toys. Legion does require slow introductions to people as he will bark at strangers, and this can be intimidating to some. Legion would do best in a home with older children due to his size. Legion loves to be with his people and will follow them anywhere and is often referred to as the shadow. Legion is also a self-sufficient dog and is not too needy and can be independent when needed. Legion knows the dog door and does well in his fenced yard. Legion does great in his kennel and considers this his safe spot. Legion also does well in the car and is continuing with car training. Legion would like an active family to keep him stimulated. His foster mom states he is an amazing dog with a ton of potential who is smart and eager to learn. He needs a strong leader to continue with training. His charm and strong personality do not lend to pushover ownership. Knowledge of the breed and protective nature is important. Legion is neutered, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and dewormed. This rescue will not adopt out to individuals with unaltered domestic animals.

Story
Lucy, at a year and a half, is a vibrant German Shepherd, a testament to the breed`s athleticism and zest for life. Her bouncy demeanor and love for games like fetch and frisbee speak volumes about her playful spirit. While she seems to enjoy the company of male dogs, it`s essential to note that she can be aggressive with females. On the bright side, she is remarkably friendly and playful with children, showing no signs of shyness around people. She knows her basic commands and walks well on a leash, making her a joy to take on outings. Plus, Lucy remains calm during car rides, a valuable trait for any dog. However, she can be overprotective of her chosen person, a trait to be mindful of and managed with care.
