Mac is courtesy posted on Rescue Ridge for his owner. Mac is a full-breed male German Shepherd dog born on April 13th, 2020. He is neutered and fully vaccinated. Mac was raised in a loving home with another older German Shepherd dog. He loves attention from people and is good with children. Mac's current owner is not strong enough to walk this 111 lb. boy or to provide the exercise and stimulation he deserves. Mac is a very high energy, extremely loyal, loving companion who needs lots of attention, tummy rubs and butt scratches.  Please text 732 546 8805, and we will connect you with his owner. Story
This is Kona! Kona is a 7 year old neutered German Shepard who is up to date on all his shots and vet checks, and has been taken the very best care of.    He was adopted as a rescue three and a half years ago and has lived with his family in a home with a fenced in yard.  He is very loyal, loving, and gentle with his current owner. He has some initial social anxiety, but is calmed by his people’s reassurance, so his best placement would be with a confident owner with previous German Shepard familiarity and experience. After being initially introduced, he loves people and just wants to feel safe and seen, leaning in and giving kisses once he knows he is loved. He has lived in a home as the only dog and would prefer to be the only one to get all of your love and affection. He is comfortable with adults and older children, but gets a little excitable around dogs in social settings and would need to be cat tested.   His previous owner has worked with him constantly to build his confidence, and he loves to work for positive praise, yummy treats,  and belly rubs. He is loyal beyond belief and is extremely smart and able to learn anything that his owner is committed to teaching. The sky is the limit when it comes to training this boy.   Kona is crate-trained and housebroken. He loves to explore his yard and enjoys company while he is outside and running around. He loves his people and enjoys snuggling on the couch with them and playing with his toys. Kona is a very special pup that needs a special family with lots of love and patience to help him feel safe and loved.  He gives 100% of all that love back! Kona is in search of his new home due to an unfortunate split of his current owners.  If you are looking for an awesome German Shepard with all the quirky qualities that come along with it, Kona is your dream boy! If you show him love, patience and kindness he will reward you with loyalty and companionship that you’ve never experienced! Please apply to adopt Kona at Rescueridge.com. If your application is a possible match a volunteer will contact you.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2025, 7:44 pm

William is well trained, healthy, well loved boy that has been with me for six years. He is very energetic, quirky, smart and strong. Because of a big life change, I cannot provide him with the love and care he needs. Will would love a backyard so he can play fetch, his favorite activity.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. wagoninn.rescuegroups.org Rudy is now in NJ. Rudy came from the Wolf Pond Sanctuary in rural Mississippi. Wolf Pond Sanctuary is closing and all of the remaining dogs need a place to go asap.  Rudy was been at the Sanctuary for his whole life in an outdoor kennel with a concrete floor. He has never known the inside of a house, the warmth of a fireplace, the comfort of his persons bed until now.  Rudy will need a gentle, patient person willing to put some time and effort in to teaching him the joys of being a pampered pet. He will need to learn housebreaking but crate training will be a breeze. He will need to learn to trust humans as Rudy is a shy, timid boy who was never properly socialized. Rudy is a flight risk based on his nature and lack of socialization and will require special precautions (martingale collar, leash to collar and harness, caution around doors and when exiting vehicles).   Rudy is dog friendly. He used to live with Tinsel who is in our care here in NJ. Rudy did well on his cat test. Based on his timid nature, he will likely do well with and find comfort in other animals. No small kids for Rudy and a quiet home would be best. Rudy is fixed and up to date on vaccines & microchipped.   Rudy tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee is $300.    How to Adopt Me! Odessa is currently with our partner rescue in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ soon. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial for approved adopters! Odessa is dog friendly with most dogs and she does have some resource guarding with food and toys.  She is sweet and loving and smart! Odessa is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
