Story
Murphy is a 7 month old German shepherd/ pit bull. Mom is a pure breed German shepherd and the dad is a pure breed American pit bull. Murphy has tons of energy, he plays well with others. He is house trained. The reason for us putting him up for adoption is my wife is pregnant and I work night shift. We will be moving soon and can’t take him to the new house. If you have any questions about him just let me know and I will respond

Story
Champ is a handsome sweetheart who came into the shelter with a shy nature. He is a gentle, loving and curious young boy who is about 1 year and 1 month old. Champ is good on shots. arrived at the shelter with his mom on July 30th, 2024 as strays and was never reclaimed. He has a sweet and gentle nature, and he loves to play and explore once he’s comfortable. Champ is a wonderful companion who would love to find a forever home where he can be the center of attention and be showered with love and affection. If you're looking for a loyal and loving friend, Champ is the perfect dog for you! He will thrive once in a home where he has time to settle in and feel security and love. If you have another dog and are interested in meeting another potential new furry member please bring him or her to the shelter and meet on neutral ground before adopting. No need to shuffle the animals around any more than necessary. Please know that 1 mosquito bite can create heart worms and they can be fatal if not treated. It is VERY important to keep your pets healthy and protected by keeping them on a once a month heart worm and flea/tick prevention. These animals are counting on you as their owner to provide them with lots a love and the proper health care so PLEASE make sure you are aware and prepared before adopting. Owning a pet is an extra expense and responsibility but is so worth every minute and penny you invest in them. They will add lots of joy and unconditional love if given a fair chance. The shelter is open Mon.-Fri. 10-1, 2-5, Sat. 10-4. Adopt a homeless pet and save a life. If you can not adopt right now come out and volunteer and make a difference in the lives of these animals while they await their FOREVER home. In order to adopt any of our "bully breeds" there is special paper work that will need to be collected and approved prior to the adoption. We love all of our dogs and want to make sure to place our "bully babies" in homes best suited for them.

These pups are in Jacksonville, North Carolina too!

Story
My adoption fee is $200 which covers my annual distemper booster, rabies, and being spayed/neutered and microchipped. I’m in a home with other dogs. My foster home has children and thankfully they have manners. I hope your kids do too! I love to play. I have so much energy for everyone. My ideal family would love to go on walks and play with me in the backyard so help wear off a little of this energy. I love to give my foster parents hugs and kisses. So far, I am house trained, and I do pretty good on a leash. My foster parents keep talking about personal space, but I don’t know what that is. I like to follow them everywhere they go. I love having all of the attention and being next to my person on the couch or the bed.August 20, 2024, 11:55 am

Story
I’ve had my dog Anubis since 2015. I purchased him from a reputable breeder in Greensboro NC and he has been an amazing companion for over 9 years now. Unfortunately due to my divorce and my current career that requires me to travel I can no longer insure he’s cared for. He’s an amazing animal with a hilarious personality who’s very food motivated. He’s still intact and not neutered so he’s very much an alpha male and doesn’t do well with other males or dominant females. He is not aggressive forwards kids as he was raised in a home with a child but he prefers to be left alone by little humans and will vocolize boundaries if he feels uncomfortable. He has a perfect bill of health from his vet who is always amazed by his age when he comes and and expects to have many more years of life to come. He does have a lot of hour of obedience training and is prong collar and e collar trained.
