Story
Hello there, my name is Gage! I came to MVPC from a 3 strikes and you're out family. First strike, they kept me outside in a kennel my whole life where I caught a couple different parasitic infections. Second strike, they taught me nothing. Third strike, they weren't very nice to me. Thank goodness I wound up here! Since I have come to MVPC and a GSD-savvy home, I have flourished into the best version of myself and a great example of my breed. I am super sweet and Iove getting attention from my people! I am a smart fella and I just want to please you. I know my commands but can be stubborn and talkative, as any GSD owner knows. Other dogs are pretty awesome but I don't know much about cats. I want to be with you or near you at all times - I absolutely need a family with GSD experience that will understand me and my needs. If you are looking for a loyal and loving new pal and are willing to help me become the best version of a GSD, I would love to meet you! ADOPTION FEE: $300 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) ADOPTER: Dog experience BIRTHDAY: 8/21/20 FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment) DOG FRIENDLY: Yes! DOGS IN HOME: Yes, can be solo CATS: Unknown, can be tested CHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over I AM READY TO GO HOME!! If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $300 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me! ***WE DO NOT HOLD DOGS. IF YOU ARE GOING ON VACATION OR ARE NOT YET READY TO PROCEED PLEASE APPLY WHEN YOU ARE.*** INQUIRIES: ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25. DO NOT: USE THE PETFINDER CONTACT/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those and you will not receive a response. Story
Hi, I'm Trevor and I found myself in an overcrowded shelter. I don't understand why I kept being overlooked. I did have some wonky back legs - probably from being in a too small crate and not getting enough exercise from my previous home. But once I got to MVPC things began to turn around - I got a crate that fit me and am getting all kinds of exercise playing with my foster siblings. AND GUESS WHAT?!?! My back legs now have muscle and are just fine. I can even outrun some of my playmates! I haven't let my past hold me down, I don't know what a bad day is - all my days are fun and happy - that's me - fun and always happy! I am loving, sweet and pretty darn smart too! I love to be around and with my people and LOVE playing with my foster siblings. I have alot of energy and would really like a playmate at my forever home. I'm excellent with my crate manners and am house trained. I love toys and treats and did I mention I LOVE running and playing with my foster siblings? I would love to have a pack and family of my own. ADOPTION FEE: $350 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) ADOPTER: Dog experience BIRTHDAY: 4/02/2024 FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment) DOG FRIENDLY: Yes DOGS IN HOME: Required CATS: Unknown CHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over I AM READY TO GO HOME - If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $350 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me! ***WE DO NOT HOLD DOGS. Story
Tacoma is not your typical German Shepherd dog. She is thought to be around 2 years old, weighing only 50 pounds. Tacoma was born and raised on a disgusting puppy mill farm where she never received a kind human touch or any kind of compassion or care. She was forced in confinement and to breed and have puppies of her own only to have them taken away from her to be sold. She came to us very scared, timid, depressed, confused, filthy, extremely malnourished, and had an ear infection. We are so happy to introduce her to the sunny side of her life! She is putting her past behind her and is learning to trust humans for the first time in her short life. Tacoma is still very timid when meeting new people, around loud noises and sudden movements. She feels safe and secure in her crate and often goes there on her own to rest. She has been very behaved around her foster family dogs with no aggressive behaviors and is starting to initiate playful gestures with them. She knows her new name, uses the doggie door to go outside to do her potty business, and even holds it until she is let out when the doggie door Is closed! She is a slight toy and shoe fanatic... she takes them all outside one by one if given the chance. She takes corrections well and is easily re-directed. Although she is still very timid and scared…she is eager to please and is starting to trust us. She has given us some tail wags and lets us give her pettings. She really enjoys her ears and head scratches and rubs. Tacoma is a sweetheart and is very gentle when taking treats from a human hand. She has learned so much in so little time and is finally able to be a loving pet and companion. She is eating good and is starting to gain some noticeable weight. Tacoma appreciates her toys and is not destructive with them. She is very grateful to be in a home where she can learn to be a dog and receive all the love and care that she truly deserves. Tacoma will need a confident dog in her new home to help her feel safe and secure. If you are interested in giving Tacoma a forever loving home, go to www.pawpatroldayton.com/ adopt to apply! Tacoma's adoption fee is $360 she is spayed, UTD on vaccinations and has been microchipped. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Duke is a very loyal loving German shepherd. He has natural protective instincts and will serve to be a great house dog for the right owner. He enjoys being cuddling and being petted. He is very well behaved and can relax but also is down to horseplay around the house. He has had a few aggressive tendencies to strangers but with the right environment and handler he is a joy to be around.
