Have you ever seen such a handsome dog?This is Silas! Silas was found running as a stray and was never reclaimed by his previous humans. We are guessing he is around 3 years old and he's as healthy as a horse! Silas can be cautious when meeting new people and does best with slow, easy introductions. Based on his reactions to the other dogs, introductions with them will also have to be slow! We think he would do best in a home with older children and needs his boundaries respected! He's an extremely smart dog and has been easy to get into a routine here at the shelter with, so any additional training at home should be a breeze! He loves to play long games of fetch, then when he's tired he loves to lay in the kitty pool or get sprayed with the hose!Due to his past, we would need for Silas to go to a home with a securely fenced yard or someone that's willing to walk him daily. He's a boy that is going to need a fair amount of exercise and something to keep his brain busy if he's to be left home for long periods of time. He has some restraint issues and makes his boundaries clear. This also means he will need a home with lots of large breed experience! **Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. He weighs 82 lbs**

Mugsy is a 7yr old neutered male Shepherd/ Lab mix. He weighs 54 lbs. Mugsy was pulled from our local shelter . He was an owner surrender and the owners claimed to not have enough time for him. Mugsy is a happy and healthy guy. He loves romping in the yard but also settles down nicely and just enjoys hanging out. He is a smart guy who has quickly learned the routine here at the rescue and is very easy to get along with. He is treat motivated and will quickly figure out how to earn the treat. He is learning some manners but will still need some work. He is a great buddy who just needs someone to spend some time with him. He was house trained at one time but then the owners placed him on a chain in the backyard. He might need a little refreshing. He has been fine with children and other dogs. He is not good with cats. He is up to date on shots and wormed. He is already neutered. The adoption fee is $250. Our pets are fostered and physically located in NC until adopted. Once adopted we can deliver to your location or one of our north eastern delivery locations. We have a transporter who delivers north ever other week. Sheldon came from a local shelter. They were over full and he was in danger of being euthanized. He is a german shepherd mix. The vet said he is around 2 years old( as of 6-22-23). He is a tall lanky dog, around 65 to 70 pounds. He is a sweet boy and very affectionate. He needs a home with room to run. He is energetic and would need an adopter who can embrace it. He will make THE BEST hiking buddy ever. He likes water to. He would be best in a home where he can be the only dog. If he can't be an only dog he needs a home with a large breed submissive female. He would also do well with puppies. He is doing well with crate training and house training. He will go to his new home current on vaccines, testing, preventives, neutered and microchipped. He will receive a complete physical by our vet prior to going home. He will also be issued a certificate of Health. The adopter will get all the health records with adoption. We require a pre screen application to adopt.
