Story
Blue/Purple—8+ Kid by Kid, Dog by DogOnyx is a really nice boy, but he lacks impulse control and jumps up. He will need some work on his manners, but he doesn`t lack enthusiasm. He did live with small children but until he calms down he would definitely knock them over. He will also play with his mouth open and catch you with a tooth. There isn`t an ounce of aggression just overzealous playfulness; he absolutely loves a good game of fetch and then settles down for some chest and ear scratches. For more resources to help with at any step of your adoption journey go to: https://go.petadoptiongateway.com/LycomingDTBureau of Dog Law Enforcement—Kennel License #2617

Yes, with children around 12 years old on a kid-by kid basis.Could he do well with other dogs? Yes, on a dog-by-dog basis.Has this dog lived with cats? No. [The Lycoming County SPCA does not “cat test” dogs per the Association of Shelter Veterinarian’s Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters.]---Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Monkey is a lively and energetic boy eager to walk on a leash, although he`s still learning and can pull when tethered. He enjoys being handled and understands basic cues like `sit,` `wait,` and `come.` His play style is excitable, and he loves toys, especially balls. To manage his excitement, having two tennis balls for trades is helpful.Monkey gets along with other dogs once he calms down and shows good behavior when approaching them. He tends to jump up at strangers, especially men, but responds to redirection. There are no signs of resource guarding over food. It`s recommended that he goes to a home with older children to help him learn manners and improve impulse control.---For more resources to help with any step of your adoption journey go to: https://go.petadoptiongateway.com/LycomingDT

Story
German Shepherd Husky to be rehomed. Her name is Rose, she’ll be two years in June (22nd I believe) I took her from an Amish farmer. She was his personal dog that his neighbor gave him since his other German shepherd passed away from old age. He rehomed her because she started killing his chickens and he couldn’t get her to stop. I took her mainly as an unofficial foster to make her more adoptable and get her into a more stable environment. I debated keeping her but after approximately 3 months I can’t handle her quirks anymore. I’m not a very Husky tolerant person, but I wanted to see if her German Shepherd genetics outweighed the Husky genetics. She behaves probably like 70% German Shepherd and 30% Husky. I would recommend no young kids, and either no dogs or a dog of similar size that will stand up for themselves.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ubba is ready for his forever home! ODAAT was contacted about a found dog stray, after research we were able to determine that the dog had recently been given away. This dog has been through it and deserves a committed family. He was born approx May 2020 and he is a GSD. He is very active and would love an active family. He loves toys, running and playing. He is great with kids! Because of his activity level we would prefer older children, 10+. He does great with other dogs and a home with someone to play with would be perfect for him. We would advise no cats as he does have a prey drive. He is extremely intelligent and eager to please. He is potty trained, up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. If you would like to welcome Ubba into your family, please apply at www.onedogatatime.us When applying to adopt through ODAAT, please know that we take pride in placing our animals appropriately based on their needs and personality.
