Story
ONCE A CASH COW... NOW SAFE & BEEN WAITING ON A HOME FOR 65 DAYS Naia's baby was trapped in a pipe and was the only baby left once we got word. The baby went to another rescue but when no one wanted momma - we got her here as fast we could. Naia formerly known as Ginger which is her name, is as sweet as they come. We have her at 5 years old, and she is looking for the ultimate bestie to give her love, snuggles and lots of attention too. Naa has displayed a ton of affection and goofiness. She's a playful girl who loves to go for walks. She loves to be outside and play. Naa has loved spending time with our cat and our dog sunny, so she would be a great companion for other pets after she gets used to them and her new surroundings. Other than that, Naa loooooves to relax and snuggle. She is a vocal girlie who likes to talk back to you, she loves to play with her toys, enjoys cat treats more than her regular food, is very calm, potty trained/house trained and listens SO well!! She didn't love getting a bath, but I think she will get used to it. The times we have de-shedded her, she has seemed really grateful. We are hoping Naa finds a home in someone who is willing to invest time in her. Someone who will snuggle and play with her, take her for car rides and give her treats, someone who will be patient while she adjusts to her new environment all over again. She is definitely a great and loyal companion. She will make you feel loved, safe and protected. Please consider meeting Naa and making her your new bestie. Story
Meet Marnie the one of the most incredible and resilient dogs we've come across. This sweet baby at just six months old found herself in a high kill shelter in South Carolina. Sadly, it was pretty clear Marnie had something going on as she was pretty wobbly in the back end. Radiographs revealed a significant defect in her spine and it appears to be a previous fracture. More than likely, sweet Marnie was hit by a car and left to fend for herself for some time. Her injury has already begun to heal and as of right now is not a candidate for surgery. This sweet baby, with all the trauma that has been thrown her way, continues to live life to the fullest and has no clue that she is a tich slower moving than her furry pals. Marnie will not need surgery and just needs to be crate rested at this time to allow her body the time it needs to heal. She may always have a funny walk and be more predisposed to arthritis and things of that nature but will go on to live a full and loving life! Marnie was going to be euthanized and after hearing that she essentially gets around just fine we couldn't stand back and watch that happen. This poor girl was clearly on the run for some time as she is literally a bag of bones at only 33 pounds. We would love to get Marnie into a foster or foster to adopt home that is quiet where she can recover and become the best version of herself! She does well with other dogs and cats and is fully house trained. If interested in being a part of this incredible girls journey apply today via our website at www.dustytailsanimalrescue.org

Xander does not like any other dogs!!!! He is fine with dog-savvy cats though. He needs an experienced GSD handler! Very protective and can be unpredictable! He is very good in the house. He has some seperation anxiety issues and will need someone patient in working with him. He is five years old. He is a registered DDR German Shepherd. He is my son's dog but is now staying with me in an apartment until he finds a new home. My son is marrying a lady with two small toddlers and Xander is not good with children, so he needs someone who understands him to give him love. He knows basic commands and a couple of tricks too.

Brooklyn is a beautiful 3-year old Shepherd mix. She loves people of all ages and other dogs. WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $365 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible. Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.

Story
Hello! Niyla is a 6 year old German Shepherd Dog. She’s been an outdoor dog most of her life however, she is house trained and on a bathroom schedule. Im looking for a new owner who is above all patient and willing to give her the love, time, and attention that I cannot provide for her. She loves to cuddle right up next to you just as much as she loves to go run around free (please do this in a controlled environment within gates of a backyard preferably.) I just want someone who will be able to give her the proper new beginning that she deserves. She is a very loyal protective over the ones that she loves.

Story
Lady was my father dog, he is getting on up there in age and couldn't take care of her anymore. She was an outside dog until I took her in 7 months ago, we have house trained her and she is now an inside dog. We need to find a good home for her as she does not get along well with one of our cats and we already have 3 other dogs and 2 cats. She would do well in a home with no other pets. She has been very good with my 1 year old and 5 year old grandbabies. Lady is a great dog and if she got along with our cat, we would keep her. She is a quick learner. We potty trained her within a week. She is 7 years old and a full blooded German Shepherd, but we do not have papers on her. I do want to point out some issues she has. She has separation anxiety, she doesn't like to be left outside alone, nor in the house alone. She is terrified of thunderstorms. Her ACLs are fraying, but it really doesn't seem to affect her mobility. She is a very active dog with a high prey drive.
