Blue Thor is a 1 1/2 year old, 67 lbs, German Shepherd/Husky mix found dumped with his sister Honey. He has piercing blue eyes and a soft coat. Don’t let his serious looks fool you, he’s a friendly boy! He’s currently working on leash training and has been friendly with adults, but at times he gets nervous with men. Blue Thor is working on socialization with dogs, but he is still rather fear responsive when meeting other males. He has made progress with socializing with my male dog Dexter, but it has taken a good 4 months to help him settle in with Dexter, there have been some rough spots with aggression where I had to separate them, but this has been gradually improving. Thor will need an experienced pet owner educated with training. He would be good with other female dogs as he has not shown aggression with females. Blue Thor is partial to women since it has been women that have been leaving food and water for him for months. Be patient and go slow with men. He has become friends with my daughter's boyfriend and did not take very long. He is very smart and wants to please me, but done not know how to do that yet. He loves to play with his toys, go for walks. He is doing great with the gentle lead and is now walking with a much less pull on the leash. Honey is a 1 1/2 year old, 58 lbs, German Shepherd mix who is very sweet and loves to be petted. She has a light brown soft coat with a beautiful face. Honey has been friendly with me while leaving food for her and her sibling for over two months before I earned her and her brother's trust to pick them up. Unknown if she gets along with children or cats currently. She is working on leash training and that is going very well. Am currently working on socialization with dogs and people, its a work in progress. But once she gets to know you she is sweet as can be. Honey is potty trained and large crate trained. 2 yr old Rocky is an intelligent and docile boy. He is a gentle giant. He is a happy-go-lucky boy who learns commands fast. He came from a home with many dogs and has never had any issue with them. In his current home, he has been kept separated from his foster brother who is reactive to other dogs, but he sees them through the gate and never once barks. Rocky is little timid in new situations. He loves car rides. He is excellent with children. He loves for the neighborhood kids to pet him. He is so polite and never jumps on anyone. Rocky is potty-trained and crate trained, although he is rarely crated, since he is very perfect outside a crate. During the freeze, he was patient about going out, and never once demanded to be taken out. He is a really sweet and tolerant pup. Rocky likes to run around in the backyard but once he is inside the house, he loves to lay on his foster parents’ bed or on the couch to feel closed to his humans. His foster dad says that he is the perfect dog. Rocky is 80 lb, neutered, is microchipped and is on heartworm and flea prevention. He can travel to most states and Canada for the right home. A fully fenced yard is mandatory for our dogs. Rocky is a flexible dog and lives to make his human happy. Rescue story: Rocky's owners always used to leave him outside and he would come up to the neighbor's home. Finally they moved and did not take Rocky with them. His neighbor took him in and is fostering him.

COURTESY POSTING : Gilda is a delightful 6-year-old German Shepherd mix who is still waiting for her forever home. It breaks our hearts to see such an excellent girl overlooked just because of her age. She is affectionate, pleasant, and always has a smile on her face. While Gilda might not be the best guard dog (she loves humans too much!), she excels in every other aspect of her German Shepherd heritage. She enjoys walks and outdoor adventures, but be prepared—she will pull if she sees squirrels. If you're too frail to handle a strong, enthusiastic walker, Gilda might not be the best match. Gilda is incredibly social with other dogs, although she may take a few minutes to warm up to new canine friends. With humans, however, it’s love at first sight. She’s never met a stranger and is always ready to receive head pats and affection. Gilda is up-to-date on her shots, heartworm negative and kept on heartworm and flea preventative and deworming schedule. She is spayed and microchipped. She is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state. Transport fee is included in her adoption fee. Yards, if any, MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. Ty is a purebred Belgian melon Wah puppy, who came to us from a small shelter in the Houston area. He has all his three rounds of puppy vaccinations and has been neutered and micro chipped. He is heartworm negative and is on heartworm prevention. He weighs around 60 pounds and is 8 1/2 to 9 months old. He is extremely friendly and loves other dogs. His current foster family has one cat who he doesn’t seem reactive with, but would need to be more thoroughly tested with cats. he is extremely friendly with all people, but is very active as a young malinois and could knock over small children. Meet Lucy Lucy is a 1.5-2 year old Belgian Malinois. She came to us from an area high kill shelter and was on death row. Once we met her we fell in love with this gorgeous sweet girl and took her into our rescue group. She is fully vetted, microchipped, and spayed. Lucy is an amazing, sweet girl with moderate energy/drive. She will do best with an owner who has experience with Malinois and GSDs and in positive dog training. She is crate and potty trained. You must be approved to adopt through our group before meeting any of our adoptable dogs. Please note that this is a volunteer based group and NOT a SHELTER. Most of our dogs are in foster homes. There may be delays in application processing answering emails etc. because we all have demanding full time jobs, families, and foster dogs/puppies to care for. please email savapetwac@yahoo.com for an application.
