Story
Stout is a goofy boy that's had trouble finding his spot in the pecking order. After several months with an experienced foster/trainer, he's done so much better! Will need reinforcement and an alpha (human) owner. He's great with people/kids, good with female dogs and males that don't push for dominance. He doesn't bother cats. He's a great dog, very well mannered, rides in cars well, loves to go, crate and house trained. Foster to adopt can be a great scenario to get to know Stout and see if he's the perfect fit.

Story
Makaria is a timid, but sweet, silly girl that has either experienced some trauma, or just wasn't socialized at an early age. She has come out of her shell quite a bit, but will need a patient adopter to continue to give her time to gain her trust. She loves other dogs and children, and needs a friend to play with. We estimate her dob is 6/1/23. She appears to be a German Shepherd mix, on the small side, and is fully vetted and current on appropriate preventatives. She likes the comfort of her kennel/crate/doghouse.

Story
Pupae is a beautiful, calm Shepard mix female. She is the calmest of her litter. She and three siblings (Starr, Sky and Gabby), at 8 weeks old were found on a one lane county road in all the April rain storms, no momma with them. They are all still together, growing up in a foster home. They love to play with each other all day long, love water, have a kid pool and love it. They all know how to sit, very food motivated, love treats. All four sleep in individual wire kennels under our covered porch at night, from 9-6 am. They get a treat and go to sleep. The kennels are open all day and they come and go and nap inside them. They are outside all day long in a fenced yard. I bring one or two at a time in the house during the afternoon for one on one time and training. We leash walk often, Pupae does very well. They're outside most of the day so they go when they need to. They have never pottied in the house or in their crates. When let out of crates at 6 am, they usually want attention instead of pottying right away. I would say they are well on their way to being trained, just need reinforcement in a new home. We have house cats and some ferals that roam the neighborhood. They seem a little curious but never bother the house cats. They would probably chase the ferals if one got inside the fence. No experience with children, but I'm sure they'd be fine if they were old enough to not be knocked down. Loud noises and thunderstorms don't scare them. If they hear a noise, they usually bark and go inspect. Adoption fee covers spay. Foster to adopt is a great way to see if Gabby is a good fit for your family.

Story
Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted on 6/19/18, and the pictures were taken on 4/9/18 - Louise came from the Smith County, TX Shelter on 4/9/18. I had a few adoptions at that time, so I had space to tag some dogs from the shelter. I asked who had been there the longest, and needed out. Immediately I was told Louise and Sarge. Louise has joined what I call my yard dogs that get to run the fenced in area of our property instead of going in a large dog pen, and goes in a crate at night. She barked a lot at first and doesn't always like to go in the crate, but is doing much better now. She still gets anxious to get out in the morning. She is good on a leash, good around adults and children, rides well in a vehicle, LOVES to be pet while licking my arm, and LOVES getting in our water tubs.  She does not climb fencing or dig under fencing. Louise was picked up on FM 2767 and Greenwood on 3/7/18 weighing 73 pounds, heartworm positive, but as of 5/28/22 she is heartworm negative using Ivermectin for slow kill, estimated to be 6 years old in 2018, and was not doing well being in the kennels. I had her spayed on 4/14/18. Louise's adoption fee is $25, since a donation was made for her care. August 17, 2024, 3:46 pm
