Story
We have now fostered Lola for 5 months. She needs to find her human. She craves 1:1 attention. While with us, she attempts to play with cats, and they tolerate her until they don't. She takes refuge in her crate when they put her in her place. She is 3.5 years old, spayed and LOVES to play fetch with her balls, which she also flattens. She has gone down from 110# to 85#, needs fenced in yard and daily walks. Like ANY German Shepherd, she is prey driven, but only acts on it IF they run. She has been around other dogs, cats, livestock and poultry. She is easily redirected and does not like spray bottle with water. She needs to stay on specific diet, Blue Buffalo Chicken and Rice. She is NOT a hoover, and does not like human food, so you will need to pick up any food you drop.... Please let me know if you are interested in a meet up.

Story
Apple can be transported anywhere between the Washington/Canadian border, Spokane and Southern Oregon. Apple was part of a litter surrendered after 2 puppies sadly passed away due to lack of care by their owner. She was born 10/16/23 and is a mix of around 15 different breeds, including German shepherd and cattle dog. Her sister London is also available for adoption; however, after a trial separation, it was determined that they do not need to be adopted together. Apple has one floppy ear and will tap your leg with her paw to ask for scratches. She gets the cutest little zoomies! Apple is extremely sweet and loves to be near her person. She is: -Friendly with large and small dogs. -Gentle with an 11 lb. senior dog in their foster home. -House trained, crate trained, and know “sit.” -Vaccinated and will be spayed. Apple is an absolute sweetheart and the perfect, low-maintenance family dog. Although she is still young, she does not behave like a wild puppy at all. She is obedient and learns quickly, she’s well behaved, and she loves to be a couch potato indoors. She can be shy at first, but she thrives when playing with other dogs. She’s very playful and loves to run around, but she also knows when it’s time to be calm. Apple is looking for an active family with at least 1 dog friend and a fully enclosed yard. Fence is ideally at least 5 feet tall. Must be a decent sized yard for her breed and someone home so she isn’t crated and alone all day. Must be able to provide a forever home. Applications can be found at caringhearts4paws.org Adoption donation is $375, which includes her spays, vaccinations, microchip. Home check is required.
We'll also keep you updated on London's adoption status with email updates.

Story
Meet Captain: A Loyal German Shepherd in Need of a Loving Home About four months ago, I rescued a German Shepherd from Animal Services in Olympia. When I first met him, his name was "Glampfire Trail Mix," but I've since renamed him Captain. This handsome boy is wonderful with kids and small animals, making him a great family companion. Captain has a playful spirit and a love for tennis balls that’s unmatched! We bought a box of 100 used tennis balls, and he’s already gone through most of them. Day or night, he never tires of a good game of fetch. I’ve included some videos of Captain in action at Lacey’s off-leash dog park—his favorite spot to run and play. While Captain is a fantastic dog, he’s simply too large for my current household. He also gets a bit car sick after about 30 minutes of driving, so a home where he doesn’t need to travel often would be ideal.
