Story
About me: -Like the goddess, I’m an incredibly intelligent pup! I know all kinds of cool commands like “sit” and “down.” -I’m energetic, curious, and adventurous. I love to explore new spaces! -I love puzzles and enrichment activities so I don’t get bored. Type of home I’m looking for: -I would thrive in a home with a backyard for me to run and play. -I’m an acrobat at heart and have been known to jump quite high. I’ll need a 6-ft fence so I don’t fly away! -My energy can be too much for children. I need to go to an adult-only home. -I need to go to a cat and small-animal free home. Notable behavior: -I get overstimulated easily and need to work on my leash manners. -I’ve been known to resource guard toys and food from other animals. -I would thrive with an owner who will set rules and boundaries with me. I’ve been at SHS for too long. Meet me today!

Story
A Golden Girl who loves runs and snuggles! Meet Betty White! Betty White is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the Adopting for Path of Hope Rescue Section). Our adult dogs are ready to bring love and joy into your life, and there is no better time than now. Give an adult dog a new home, and you choose the minimum donation amount! Betty White has been available for months, and potential adopters often have concerns about adult rescue dogs having behavior issues or being poorly socialized. Some dogs just get overlooked and the longer a dog is available, the more people start wondering, “what is wrong with this dog?” We understand this is a concern, and that is why we assign every applicant their own personal Matchmaker to ensure this dog is right for your family. We also believe that “Fur-st Impressions” are very important, so we encourage you to schedule a meet and greet with Betty White before applying to see if she is the perfect fit for your family by emailing us at Fur-stImpressions@pathofhoperescue.com.  A completed Adoption Application will be required after the meet and greet to move forward with Betty White’s adoption. Betty White is not a puppy; born in November 2021, this girl is potty and crated trained and has successfully outgrown the puppy adolescent stage. She’s the dog for someone who wants the cuddly companionship of a puppy without the stress of house training, chewed-up shoes, and damaged furniture. A svelte and compact 45 lbs., Betty White is a free spirit who loves exploring and testing her limits. According to a DNA test, Betty White is 46% American Pit Bull Terrier and 25% German Shepherd Dog so being active and wanting to move is in her genes. Sniff spot outings and agility jumps are favorite activities for her – and if she has a buddy dog to join her in the adventures, all the better! Naturally eager to learn, Betty White has excelled at obedience training. She plays nicely with her foster dog siblings and gets along great with children (she will chase, so a cat free home would be best for her).  She’s a happy, playful dog who loves her human companions with the same gusto she exhibits for activity. But Betty White isn’t all go, all the time. She is a cuddler and snuggle bug, too. Betty White’s loving and charming personality have made her a foster favorite. Funny, friendly, and affectionate, she warms you up with snuggles and kisses. And all this without having to worry about your favorite shoes getting torn up! Betty White’s ideal home? This delightful girl seeks a home with people to love who will love her in return, take her for active outings, and give her lots of snuggles. She will be the perfect workout partner who is happy to binge watch with you afterwards. Betty White has been waiting for that just right someone; maybe it is you! Why wait to meet your perfect companion? Our adult dogs are ready to bring love and joy into your life. Contact us today to set up your meet and greet with Betty White! What is Path of Hope’s Adoption Process? Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days. Begin by completing the online application. EVERY application receives an email response from us (check your spam folder!). Your personal Matchmaker will contact you, help you find your perfect pup match, and guide you through the process. Meet your potential pup at the home of the foster family. (The process may differ slightly for long distance adopters.) Bring your potential pup home for a no commitment In Home Trial. In Home Trials are a minimum of (2) nights for a puppy and one week for an adult. Your Matchmaker will check in with you during this time. Sign the adoption paperwork and adopt your new family member! Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process. Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs one year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course. Long Distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250.  Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon.   About Path of Hope Rescue At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events. Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process. ##1395537##

Ghost is ready to "lift your spirits" with his adorable antics! Ghost is a big, lovable goofball who doesn’t quite realize how large he is—but that just adds to his charm! With his playful personality, kind heart, and unshakable loyalty, he’s the perfect adventure buddy and cuddle companion all in one. Why You’ll Love Ghost: Obedient and eager to please Playful yet incredibly loving A little uncoordinated at times, making him extra endearing Housebroken and well-mannered indoors Rides well in the car and walks nicely on a leash The Perfect Home for Ghost:Ghost gets along well with other dogs but would thrive with a fellow big dog who can match his energy. He’d do best with an active, loving adopter who wants a true best friend for life—someone who will enjoy playtime, outdoor adventures, and plenty of goofy moments together. Ghost is not a fan of feline friends so he would do best in a home without kitties! Health & Care: Neutered and up to date on all vaccinations House-ready and fine in a walk-in kennel when needed If you’re looking for a big-hearted, fun-loving dog who will bring endless joy and laughter into your life, Ghost is your guy. He’s ready to be your loyal companion—could that be you? To add Ghost to your family, simply send us an email at springbranchrescue@gmail.com for adoption and fee information. He is wagging his tail and wiggling his butt at just the thought of finding his forever home and his story is just beginning! His next chapter could be with you! Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. ##2218341##

Story
Ralph is a shepherd mix. He's a good boy but has a lot of energy and has a hard time controlling his excitement. It would be best for him to go to a home with another dog his size and a fenced yard where he could roam around and enjoy his time outside. He loves toys and treats and of course bone chews. He will come with his kennel, baby blanket, toys, food and his food bowl. He's up to date on shots. He's very skittish and easily spooked and he needs reassurance when going potty. He's very intelligent and knows many tricks, he's able to learn even more with patience and time.

Story
Calypso is 2 years old. She is a good dog. She would do well in a home where she can be inside with her owner(s), and get lots of love, and head outside for exercise. She is very affectionate, and does well with children, other dogs, and cats. She is potty trained, and kennel trained. I walk her on my property without a leash, but she does very well with a leash when needed. She loves the outdoors, really likes snow, will play fetch, and likes to go places in the car. She spends time with me in the house, and enjoys being outside in the yard when the weather is nice. Calypso has been professionally groomed and does not mind it. Please contact me to obtain more information or to set up a time to meet her. Thank you.

Story
Ayo is a handsome large dog that is Embark tested and came back as a German Shepherd Alaskan Malamute mix. He arrived to the Mission from Carbon County Animal Services in Utah when he was past his euthanasia date for lack of space. He is approximately 75lbs and has an estimated birthdate of 01/02/2021.  Ayo is seeking the atypical adopter that may not be suitable to the average dog. He is very much a one person/one family dog, and thrives while riding in the car, so his ideal adopter could be a trucker, van lifer/traveler, rural homebody that may not like to go out often etc. He wants a simple life with a reliable person, and if they want to take him to the lake to go swimming on a regular basis, then life couldn't get any sweeter.  He has learned sit, how to wait at a doorway, loves to go for car rides, aced many amazing adventures into the great outdoors, and has become a great snuggle buddy and showering assistant, carefully licking the water drops off of his person's legs. He also loves to be groomed and took the entire process in stride like an old pro, even leaning into the force dryer to get a better feel of the warm stream of air. Ayo has not been able to acclimate to other animals in a consistent and safe manner, so while he's still very easy to take for walks and other outings in the midst of other animals, it will be the safest option for him to be the only animal in the home. He is also very over aroused around small children, so a home with teens and up would be ideal.  Ayo's best feature is that he loves playing ball, and he's so eager to fetch that it's by and large the simplest path to teach him. Ayo also has a nice willing personality naturally which will help him learn new skills and trust more environments and people without shutting down.  To see Ayo's complete Embark profile, click here:  http://embk.me/ayo8?utm_campaign=cns_ref_dog_pub_profile&utm_medium=other&utm_source=embark Ayo comes neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. His adoption fee is $0 due to his length of stay, and includes his leash, martingale collar, herm sprenger prong collar, ID tag, food sample and paperwork. To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.  Thank you for checking out our boy!  ##1472725##

Story
Astraya is an adorable and playful German Shepherd mix with an estimated birthdate of 10/30/2021. She came to Murci's Mission from our partners at SCRAPS.  Astraya knows basic commands and is leash trained, crate trained, and potty trained. She is social with adults and children. She loves playing with other dogs and would be a great companion for another dog. Astraya's ideal family would be one that was at least moderately active and willing to include her in life's adventures. She would do best in a home without cats. She has on and off lead hiking experience and is a great mountain biking companion.  Astraya comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $200 and includes her leash, collar, ID tag, medical records and a sample of the food she's been eating. Story
Can we get a drum roll please? Introducing Lilith the Wonder Dog who successfully defended her foster parent's car from burglary on her very first evening with Murci's Mission.  Now that's what we call a BFF in the making.  Lilith is a beautiful, biddable and athletic German Shepherd mix with an estimated borthdate of 12/04/2023. She came to Murci's Mission from SCRAPS after she was found stray and sick with giardia but has since been treated and is ready for her next chapter in life.  Lilith is being fostered at Pawsitive Canine Academy where she's learning additional life skills. She is friendly to people of all ages as well as dogs, and she is not yet cat tested. Her one flaw thus far is that she's able to escape 6' fences, so she's not eligible to be left outdoors unattended.  Lilith has all the makings of a once in a lifetime dog who is ready to walk with her person through thick and thin. When someone imagines going into an animal shelter and adopting an absolute ride or die John Wick style shepherd and living like Bonnie and Clyde, this is the dog they're looking for.  Lilith comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed.  Her adoption fee is $200 and includes her leash, collar, ID tag, food sample, and medical records.  To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application. Story
Zoya is our 3 year old girl and we don't want to rehome her. But since our daughter was born, we haven't had time to go hiking multiple times a week like we used to and she is very defensive around new dogs. Also, Zoya doesn't handle strangers well. Since we have lots of friends with their babies visiting, I'm not able to warm her up to each new person. Cons about Zoya: - Overly defensive around other dogs (at home and away from home). - No bite history but has chased another dog off our property as well as a child that went by on a scooter. - It will take 3-4 visits before she accepts anyone as a friend. - NOT a dog park dog. - She weighs almost 100 lbs. Pros about Zoya: - HIGHLY trainable. - House trained, doesn't chew any of our things. - Decent around kids but needs her space. - Fine off leash, has never ran away despite 100s of miles of hiking. - Sort of leash trained. - Sort of muzzle trained. - She likes to bark but listens fairly well when commanded to stop.

Story
Hi, I’m Clyde—short for Clydesdale—and I’m searching for my forever best friend! I’m a sweet, well-mannered pup who loves going on walks, jogs, and soaking up all the love and pets I can get. I know some basic commands like “sit,” and I’d love to keep learning with you! I’m a calm and gentle boy who just wants to be with my people. I get along with other dogs, but I can be a little shy if they get too rowdy. I’m still unsure about small animals and children, so I’d do best in a home that understands my needs. If you have the time, space, and love to give, I promise to be your most loyal companion. Could you be my perfect match?
