Story
Birdie and her sister Breezy came to Colorado to find a new lease on life. Breezy was lucky enough to find her forever home! Now is it Birdie's turn? Birdie is guessed to be a 10 month old GSP/Lab/Aussie mix. She is beautiful, but very timid and shy. She has one blue eye and one brown one, and weighs around 30 lbs. Her foster family is working to gain her trust in their home. Sadly, she does not seem to have had much socialization in her short life, as she runs away from people. She will need a patient adopter that has time, patience and love, to devote to a scared dog. She has done well with the dogs and cat in the home, but will need slow introductions. She is learning to walk on a leash and will need practice in a fenced yard. She doesn’t even know how to be a “puppy.” With time, love and patience, she will become the best friend that someone has always wished for. Birdie is waiting in Wellington to meet her forever family.

Story
Milo is a super sweet and loving boy. He is very well trained, and even recently completed a 3 week board and train program! He has some separation anxiety and would do well with someone who has time to spend with him, or if he has other dogs for companionship. He is currently living with two other dogs and they all get along swimmingly. He is great with older kids, too!

Story
Hi everybody! I'm Irvin! My fosters say that I’m very attentive and very smart! I’m full of energy, and I love to play a lot! But when I’m finished, I flop down and have a good nap. I sleep through the night and love my morning belly rubs; I’m fully crate-trained and pretty much potty-trained. I’m very good at “sit”, “lie down” and “touch”, and I’m pretty good at “leave it” and “come”. I’m still learning what is ok to chew on, but I’m ok when things are taken away from me. I’m very friendly, and I love to meet new people. I love kids and other dogs, but I would also be great living with an active adult. I can’t wait to meet my forever family and share all my love with you!  ##2059819##

Story
Lyra is loving, playful, and cuddly. She is good with people of all kinds, including kids. She jumps sometimes when she is excited, but seems to learn quickly when training for most things. She is very smart and loves playing with and chasing other dogs more than anything, so would do well in a home that already has a dog. With people, she likes to play tug of war, keep away with her toys, or stretch out at our feet. She has puppy energy and could use some more general training, but is potty trained and only chews on her own toys. She is a wonderful and well-behaved dog. Unfortunately, Lyra has a high prey drive towards our cats, which has made it difficult for her to share our home. We have tried our best, but the stress on everyone involved is very high and all the animals deserve a more relaxed environment. We know Lyra will bring immense joy to her forever family. If you are looking for an active, loving companion, please take the time to meet her. You'll be glad you did.
