He is currently taking prednisone and thyroid medication which costs about $24/month for his prescription. Hugo is good with other dogs and cats.  He is great with kids.  He is currently working on E-collar training and will be introduced to birds in the next few weeks. He is crate trained and housetrained. Hugo is a really nice dog.  He is estimated at being around 5-7 years old. Loves to snuggle with you or his dog friends. Loves to swim in the pond and play ball. Great for bathes and nail dremeling. Has been in busy environments, and handles himself nicely. If you are interested in knowing more and meeting Hugo, please complete our online adoption application.  The application will be forwarded to Hugo's foster so they can contact you directly. Again this is a courtesy post and we will not be processing the applicaiton through of rescue.  Hugo's foster will screen the pontential applicants. ##2143756##

Story
Lucy has been with her foster family for 6 weeks now and her personality is beginning to shine through.  She has a beautiful black “seal” coat soft as silk.   Her mother was purebred GSP and her father was purebred labrador retriever. She loves to run around with her two foster brothers 75 pound Labrador retrievers  (great role models) in the yard or hiking through state parks.  She knows some basic commands such as sit, here, place, leave and she can give you her paw.   Leash training is a work in progress  and distractions are a challenge, she does pull  but after six weeks of working on it she is getting better every day.   Sometimes she might ignore you while training as only a pretty girl would but with patience she will thrive.   Lucy loves to start her day chasing kongs  ( they bounce and go far) with her brothers in the backyard, she does not quite bring it to hand but close enough.  Lucy would do well with a yard (not necessarily fenced) as she is E collar trained and does stick close to the house.  She would also be an excellent running partner or great hunting partner with more practice and someone willing to take the time to train her. Lucy is house trained, no accidents at all in the house and  also, she rides like a dream in a car or truck.    Her foster recommends a home that does not have the herding breed (Australian shepard or border collies)   Lucy would do well with larger dogs as she wrestles and plays hard with her 2 brothers.   Lucy is a very active young girl  and she gets a great walk/run every morning and every night. Sometimes she gets to run at the public hunting grounds or even a swim in a lake where she loves the water and has had good interactions with other dogs at both places.  Her foster mom also trains with Lucy every morning after their walk for 10-15 minutes to help keep up with her discipline.  Lucy is a lover and really does enjoy a good rub and snuggle. ##2106644##
