Story
I may be small—just 6 pounds!—but I’ve got a big heart that’s ready to love my forever family. Life hasn’t always been easy for me. I was found on the side of the road, scared and alone, but a kind person rescued me. Unfortunately, they’re allergic to dogs, so now I’m looking for a home where I can stay forever. I’m about 11 years old, and I’m a little hard of hearing (okay, a lot), and my eyesight isn’t what it used to be. But don’t worry—I make up for it with my nose, especially when food is involved! I love to follow my humans around, just to see what they’re up to (and maybe to see if they drop a snack). I’m a professional cuddler—there’s nothing better than curling up on a warm lap and getting some good scratches. I can be a little anxious at first (can you blame me after everything I’ve been through?), but once I trust you, I’m a total snuggle bug. I previously lived with teenagers and do great with them! I haven’t been around young kids or cats, so I’m not sure how I’d feel about them. I’m crate trained and sleep in my dog bed like a good boy. I also walk on a leash—though I do like to zig-zag and explore! I get nervous with new things, but once I know I’m safe, I settle right in. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly little shadow who just wants a warm lap and a loving home, I could be your guy. Will you be my forever family?
