Story
CC is my name and it is a very special name!! Know why?? Cause I was named after a very loving woman who was the mother to all the rescuers :) She passed away the day I was saved and that is how I got my name. We all miss Mom a lot but now that I am ready for my furever home we know she is smiling with Jesus and finding me the right family! So I am a scruffy girl, only about 18# of love and silliness. I was found at a school and was so so scared but KNEW that I wanted to be saved, so I MADE myself get close to the rescuer and she caught me!! Now I am a house DIVA. I love my couch, my crate, my heat and air conditioning and my FRIENDS!!! I have quite a few friends, people and pups :) I do have to tell you, my toys are MINE.... so if you have another dog for me (which i really need... just realize that I am a work in progress and want my toys to be mine) I am the kind of girl who would love to live in a relatively quiet home, with a family who doesn't force me to meet alot of new people and will understand if I show myself to my crate when I am uncomfortable... I love to ride in the car, I am great friend when I get to know you but I will take a little longer to be a friendly lap dog- so patience is a must! I am ready for you, and will be waiting until Mom sends my family!! Local adoption fee is $350 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Gobi, the charming little seemingly Affenpinscher/Schnauffen mix (?) with a big personality and a heart full of love! At about 2 years old, this pint-sized pup is ready to take on the world—one toy chase and sunlit nap at a time. Gobi’s personality is as vibrant as the desert he’s named after. Like the Affenpinscher breed, he’s playful, curious, and full of spunk. With his adorable monkey-like expressions and bold attitude, Gobi is sure to entertain you every day with his antics. He’s not just a cute face—he’s a little explorer who loves to be in the center of the action, making him the perfect companion for anyone seeking a dog with character and charm. One of Gobi’s favorite things is snuggling in bed . Whether it's a cozy nap in the sun or a playful game of fetch, Gobi is happiest when he's with his humans. He thrives on attention and doesn’t want to miss out on any fun! This affectionate and loyal boy will quickly become your best friend and constant companion. He may be small in size, but Gobi’s love for his family is bigger than life. While he can be a bit wary of strangers at first, Gobi warms up quickly once he knows he’s in good hands. His alert nature makes him an excellent little watchdog—always ready to announce any changes in his surroundings. He’s intelligent, energetic, and eager to please, making him easy to train with routine and simple repetition. Whether it’s learning new tricks or just enjoying a cuddle session, Gobi is always up for the challenge! Fun fact: Gobi’s possible breed name comes from the German word "Affen," meaning monkey— and he certainly lives up to it! His quirky and amusing antics will keep you laughing, and his affectionate nature will make him the center of your world. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving dog with a big heart and a playful spirit, Gobi is the one for you. He gets along well with other pets, when properly introduced, but wants to be the alpha dog and he’s great with older kids. Gobi may be small, but his love is limitless. Come meet him today and let him show you just how much joy a tiny dog can bring! Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Meet Riley~ Riley is a nice boy for sure! He is kind to people, and enjoys their attention. Great with other dogs, he sure enjoys playing and has no problem playing rough! Riley is big and sturdy, and would be great for taking on walk & hikes! With quite a different look, Riley surely stands out! He has a single coat, that is low/no maintenance, and basically no shedding! Riley is 2 years old, and weighs 50 lbs. *The adoption fee is $450.00 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, leash and collar, ProHeart 12 (adults), and the mandatory CT HB 5368 exam. BREED IDENTIFICATION: Please understand that many rescue dogs are mixes of multiple breeds. Petfinder allows us to choose up to two breeds per dog. While the shelters and our rescue do our best in accurately identifying breeds, breed identification is not guaranteed. If there is a certain breed that you do not want, it is very important that you share this with our rescue when applying. When adopting a puppy, breed uncertainty plays a big part in the size/look of the dog as an adult. Please know that any puppy can be a wonderful dog, regardless of preconceived notions of certain breeds, but it is very important that the adopter has the dedication and patience to raise the puppy with boundaries, consistency, structure, & love. The more effort you give towards training & time you allow for exercise, your puppy will grow to be a HUGE source of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, TOTAL LOYALTY, HAPPINESS, COMFORT & COMPANIONSHIP! ABOUT OUR RESCUE: We are a small rescue run by volunteers & focused on finding the right match for both our dogs & for you. If you are interested in adopting through our rescue, you first will need to complete an adoption application & be approved as a potential adopter before meeting any of our pups. No need to be intimidated by our application as it allows us to get to know you & your lifestyle. Of course, the more you can share the better! Please also note, while a fenced yard is fantastic, it is not required by our rescue, however, it may be required for a certain dog occasionally. Once adoption applicants are approved to become potential adopters, we offer private appointments where you can meet one or several dogs at the discretion of the rescue. We offer a unique & pleasant experience focused on finding the perfect match. It is extremely important to us that everyone is treated with respect & that NO ONE IS LEFT HANGING. WE WILL GET BACK TO YOU WITHIN 2 TO 3 DAYS of application submission. If there is a dog you are eager to meet, please TEXT US DIRECTLY at 203-241-2351 so that we can check the status of your application and move it forward immediately. We look forward to hearing from you and helping you find your new best friend. *All adult dogs can be cat tested by request. HOME/RENTER INSURANCE: SOME PROVIDERS HAVE VERY STRICT POLICIES REGARDING WHICH TYPE OF DOG BREEDS ARE ALLOWED UNDER THEIR COVERAGE. STATE FARM WAS SUGGESTED TO US AS THEY DO NOT PUNISH, DROP, NOR REFUSE YOU DUE TO DOG BREED SHOULD YOU RUN INTO ISSUES WITH YOUR CURRENT PROVIDER.
