Story
Available for adoption in Orange County ONLY! Meet Rosie! This 1 year old, 68lbs golden retriever/lab mix came to us from the Riverside Shelter after being found wandering alone wearing a harness and leash. Her people never came for her, which is wild because she is SUCH a sweet girl! She will be adopted out with a spay appointment in early April, so she needs a home willing to get her through her recovery. Rosie already knows sit, down, come, and kennel. She is super loving and very people-oriented. She appears to be potty trained in her foster home. So far she's been good in a kennel for a couple of hours, but we haven't left her for longer. This cutie is VERY strong and needs work on a leash. She's making improvements in her foster home, but she will need a furever home that can keep working with her. She also does have some protective/fearful tendencies that cause her to bark (loudly), so a family that can help her learn she doesn't need to protect them and that they will protect her will be key for this angel. Rosie was kenneled with two other dogs at the shelter and is very interested in the dogs in her foster home. However, when we tried to have her play with another dog outside of the shelter, her play style was very rough and bitey. She would probably be very overwhelming for smaller dogs or dogs that get overwhelmed by a lot of energy. For families with children, we are only recommending Rosie to homes with kids over the age of 10 due to her size. Overall, Rosie is a sweetheart and will make a wonderful addition to a very lucky home. If you are interested in adopting Rosie and live in Orange County, please fill out an application on our website. We are only able to accept applications from families living in Orange County at this time since Rosie is recovering from kennel cough and needs to be spayed by our vet in Costa Mesa once she's fully recovered.

Story
Maggie Lou was relinquished to Poochmatch by the owner who moved out of state. She's around 1 year old and currently 40 lbs. She was relinquished to us on the skinny-side and has a few more pounds to gain before she is at a healthy weight, but she is ready for adoption in every other aspect. Maggie Lou is a wholesome, playful, sociable and affectionate pup. She is eager to learn and has already learned sit and shake. She is an absolutely beautiful dog and very treat-motivated! She is in the care of my mother who has several small dogs and gets along well with everyone, using the doggie door to come in and out of the house. For additional information, call Lydia at 714-357-8405. If this listing is still posted, we are still accepting applications. We do not do out-of-state adoptions. We do not hold dogs, please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND. We commonly receive multiple applications for a single dog. Nevertheless, only one applicant will be invited to meet a dog at a mutually agreeable appointment day, time & place. Usually Petsmart Yorba Linda or our Santa Ana location near South Coast Plaza. All adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, full sets of core vaccinations (rabies and 1 set of distemper/parvo for adults, 4 for puppies) and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc.

Story
Rusty, as of late-March, is 5 months old. As his name suggests, he has a stunning rusty red coat of fur. He is a typical affectionate, happy, energetic, playful, curious, loving, trainable puppy. He is very friendly and has been to an adoption event, where he did great and loved meeting new people! He is very sociable and LOVES to play with the other dogs that can match his puppy energy. Rusty is a very sweet puppy, eager to be a part of the family, and would make an amazing addition. Please do NOT call to ask if this puppy is available for adoption. If this listing is still posted then we are still accepting applications. Please read the narrative in it's entirety. Please note our adoption procedures are explained in GREAT DETAIL BELOW. READ, READ, READ. Thank You. . . . . The best match will be selected and contacted to confirm an appointment at Petsmart in Yorba Linda on Saturday between noon and 3 pm or on a mutually agreeable day, time and place. We do not do out-of-state adoptions for puppies and we cannot hold puppies; please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND. The adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, core vaccinations including rabies and 4 sets of distemper/parvo and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc. The adoption fee for a puppy is generally $495 - $525. Puppies are not house-trained although they may have begun crate-training and/or potty pad training in their foster home, depending on their age. House-training is a process that will need to be completed by their adopter. Puppies, if left unsupervised and not redirected will develop negative behaviors such as using the restroom in the wrong place, chewing, barking, whining, etc. Please be sure to do research on raising a puppy and be sure that you are prepared to do so. Meet Delilah! She is a very smart 3 year old that is very loyal to her humans. She is completely friendly with strangers, gives lots of kisses, and adores anybody who will throw her ball. Fetch is her favorite thing ever, she drops the ball right at your feet when she wants it to be thrown, and lays down and waits. She also knows sit and is learning new tricks! She loves water so it would be great if she could find a pool or head to the beach. She’s a larger dog (around 90lbs) so we would recommend older kids only. She loves being around her humans and smelling all the new smells. She’s great in the car and is a good beach/hiking companion. Interested in adopting this pet?
