Story
Come in and meet Tuna,Tuna is one of our more shy large dogs. Once you are in her inner circle she is affectionate and loving. She enjoys walks and is a pro on the leash. She enjoys hanging out with other dogs in our large dog playgroup. When it comes to food and toys her motto is you can have the toys but I keep the food for myself, that's why we recommend to have her as the only dog in the house. You live in a home in which it is party all day and guest are are coming and going frequently, Tuna will not be your best fit. But if your time to party all day and night is over and you enjoy a quiet and peaceful home with few guest coming by, Tuna would love to meet you.

Story
This is my babes Niner ! He’s 9 months old and full of energy. I bought him as a christmas gift to myself on Dec. 24th of 2023 as I saw him being advertised with his siblings. I work for Amazon, the night shift for 10hrs and it’s starting to take a toll on the development on his well-being. I don’t have energy to play with him as he needs me to, I sleep the day away and he spends a lot of time in his cage. I feel so bad, he needs someone to actually be there with him, daily interactions, avid playtime and more. I can’t offer him that as I don’t have time for him anymore.

Story
This is dear Sadie. She is a 7 year old Golden Retriever - Shepherd mix. She is a big girl, about 90 lbs. She is house trained, walks well on a leash, gentle and easy going. Her family adopted her 3 years ago from the shelter. She has been a house dog living in an apartment, using the elevator to go in and out. A neighbor complained of dog hair and the manager said the dog has to go. Sadie has been well cared for and loved.

Story
Meet Golden! 15-year-old Golden was surrendered by her owners to Long Beach Animal Care services due to "old age" following a welfare check request by a concerned citizen. When an Animal Control Officer arrived, Golden's owner opted to pay a 'pick up & disposal fee' and release custody to the shelter. How sad is that?! We decided Golden deserved much better than being abandoned by her family after 15 years of loyalty, so we rescued her from the shelter on March 5th to become a Frosted Face. She is a loving and gentle girl who, despite mobility challenges due to severe arthritis, is a joy to be around. Golden lives in a Foster home, where she is thriving with an understanding family who supports her physical needs and appreciates how special she is. Here is what we know about life with Golden: **Interaction with People:** Golden is affectionate and enjoys being around people of all ages, including women, men, and kids. She's not overly demanding of attention and is perfectly content to hang out by herself if needed. Her calm and loving nature makes her a great companion for both active and more relaxed households. **Bathroom Behavior:** Golden has a predictable potty routine that's easy to accommodate once you get to know her schedule. She drinks a lot of water, so she needs to urinate approximately every 3 hours during the day. At night, she's impressive, often holding it for up to 12 hours. When she needs to go out, she will move off her bed and head toward the door, showing she's house-trained. To ensure there are no accidents while you're away, using a potty pad or diaper is a good practice. **Exercise and Activity Level:** Golden enjoys wandering around the yard and loves having traction on surfaces, like rugs or yoga mats, to help her walk comfortably. While she doesn't walk far and prefers to nap for most of the day, she does enjoy watching the activity around her. A home with some outdoor access and soft surfaces would be ideal. **Interaction with Other Animals:** Golden is wonderful with other animals, including small dogs, big dogs, and cats. She has a friendly nature and loves giving kisses to those who welcome them. She especially enjoys the company of other pets and would thrive in a home with furry friends. **Additional Information:** Although Golden doesn't walk well due to severe arthritis and weakness in her back end, she does like to be self sufficient and decides to walk when she wants. You need to be able to lift around 50lbs to help her. However, she doesn't have other significant health issues other than being a super senior. Her foster mom shares: "I can see Golden joining a family with a small living space with rugs, close to a patio, with other dogs or children. She is an amazing companion animal and would also do well with someone who would take her out in her stroller or wagon for walks or to restaurants. She doesn't need to go anywhere, but in public she is one of the best behaved dogs I've ever had." Golden is ready for a forever home where she can continue to be cherished and loved. If you are able to accommodate her mobility challenges, and you are looking for a mellow, loving companion, she could be the perfect match for you! Email adopt@frostedfacesfoundation.org to meet Golden and see if she's the right fit for your family!
