Are you loooking for a sweet ride or die? Look no further. Butch is a delightful friend and SO SMART!  Rescued from a tethered hell. Butch languished for months on a cable tether. He was not fed well and he was taunted... treated like a vicious beast. He was frustated and anxious. Afraid and alone. Within moments of meeting him, we saw something different. We spent time sitting on the stoop, tossing him bits of our lunch. Eventually he settled enough to start catching the bits we tossed him. We then asked him to sit. And HE DID.  How were we to believe this was a bad dog? He is a good dog that has been treated badly. We have had him for a couple weeks now and he is a new man. He is a big sweet, intelligent goof ball. He has started playing and loves to go for truck rides. He uses his nose to move your hand if he needs something. He is just amazing. He is not a purebred Golden retriever but he is SO GOLDEN! He is not recommended around small children, small animals or other dogs. He is intitailly distrusting of strangers but warms up to kindness quickly.  He weighed 75 pounds when rescued and was VERY thin! He will likelt be a 100 pound dog when he is fully filled out! We have videos on our facebook that share the progression of his rescue. What's up!? My name is Heath, and I'm sweet like toffee. I've been lucky enough to spend time in a foster home, and my foster family has learned so many wonderful things about me! I'm doing excellent living with another dog and a toddler, and I've done well meeting other dogs, too. My favorite things to do include walking around town, going for long car rides, making new friends, and napping with my people. I am VERY bright and have learned sit, down, and have been doing very well learning recall. I'm also crate trained and mostly housebroken (I learn routines very quickly). There are times when puppy zoomies take control of my body, but I am doing really well learning to sit and wait patiently when I meet new people, and after some playtime I am a total cuddle bug. I would make a wonderful family dog and hope you will make me part of yours!

SURF'S UP! What's up? I'm Reef, a ridiculously adorable labby-esque guy with a passion for splashin' in kiddie pools. I especially love to roll around in them with other dogs. I'm a frequent flyer through playgroups, and you will always find me in the center of the action, just splashing away and having the best time ever. I have spent some time in a foster home, and I did great with their other dog and did alright with their kitty. I may need to learn some boundaries, but with a proper introduction I think I could live with a cat. I have, unfortunately, spent a good chunk of my puppyhood in the shelter, so I may need a refresher course on potty training and the basic stuff, but you'll find I am a quick study and excellent student, and I know with a routine I will catch onto everything in no time. Ask to play with me today!
