Story
Hi there! I'm Scotty, a playful 1-year-old boy who was surrendered to Big Dog Ranch Rescue because my owner could no longer care for me. I'm excited to find my forever home and share my love with a new family! I have a moderate energy level, so I enjoy plenty of playtime but can also appreciate those relaxing moments. I'm great with both dogs and people, and I love making new friends! One of my absolute favorite things is splashing around in water! Toys are a big part of my life, and I love to chase, fetch, and tug on them. I also thrive on affection; there's nothing better than snuggling up with my humans after a day filled with fun and exploration. I'm looking for a loving home where I can be part of the family and share lots of cuddles and joy. If you're ready for a spirited companion who's eager to fill your days with happiness, I might just be the perfect fit for you!

Story
Hi, I'm Ron! I was originally picked up by Animal Care and Control and brought to the Ranch all the way back in 2014. I've been in a couple of homes, but they haven't lasted due to my quirky behaviors. I require a special handler for a special dog, because I can be pretty anxious in a home, I don't like to share my stuff, and I'm a total introvert. That means I need to be properly introduced to strangers and should not live in any home with children or frequent guests. That doesn't mean I don't like people though, cause once I open up I'm the sweetest, most loyal boy you'll meet. I love other dogs and even cats as well! Plus, I'm super food motivated and have learned some tricks. I may be an old boy, but I do like to roam, so I'd like a nice yard, maybe with a pool too! I'm not too fond of small spaces like crates, you see. I'm looking for a retirement home to finish out my golden years, and if you've got the skills for the job, this old dog can learn some new tricks! If you're willing to open your heart and home to me, you'll be rewarded with a sweet, happy boy with nothing on his mind but treats, naps, walks, and ear scratchies!

Story
Meet Vinnie, a spirited young pup whose journey has been touched by life's adversities. Amidst the COVID-19 upheaval, his owner grappled with unemployment, leading to a painful separation that almost sent Vinnie to a high-kill shelter in North Carolina. Fortunately, Big Dog Ranch Rescue became his sanctuary. Since January, this exuberant lad, with a penchant for bones, has held onto hope. Eager to please and always enthusiastic, Vinnie does need a bit of leash guidance, but his dedication is unwavering. Vinnie does like most dogs but needs a proper introduction to any dog. And to sweeten the deal, Big Dog Ranch offers a complimentary training session upon his adoption. As the festive season approaches, Vinnie's wish is to celebrate within the warm embrace of a forever family. Could you be the one to make his dreams come true?

Story
Hey there, I'm Old Yeller, a big-hearted 85-pound lovebug who wandered the streets of Alabama before finding my way to Big Dog Ranch. Now, I'm just waiting for my fairy tale ending-a cozy forever home where I can finally relax and be your loyal companion. Let me take you into my world, where calm and cuddles reign supreme. I'm a gentle giant who loves to explore and take in all the fascinating smells around me. There's something about a leisurely stroll and a good sniff that just makes life feel right. But don't be fooled by my laid-back vibe-I still have a playful side! Hand me a squeaky toy or a plush friend, and you'll see my inner puppy come to life. I always have a happy smile on my face and am ready to give my people a big kiss. While I do enjoy my toys, my absolute favorite thing is being close to my humans. There's nothing better than curling up beside you, feeling your warmth, and sharing in those quiet, tender moments. I give love freely and am always ready to soak up every bit of affection you have to offer. So, if you're looking for a calm yet playful friend who will fill your days with warmth and gentle joy, that is also house-trained, I'm your guy. Come visit me at Big Dog Ranch-I can't wait to meet you and start our journey together!

Story
My name is Sparkle, and I have a story that started in Clewiston, where I was rescued and given a second chance at Big Dog Ranch Rescue. As a medium-sized dog, I have a playful spirit that lights up every room I enter. Whether it's chasing after tennis balls or romping around with canine companions, I thrive on the excitement of playtime. I'm known for my gentle demeanor and easygoing nature, making me a favorite among other dogs at the rescue. I enjoy their company and cherish the moments we share, whether it's exploring the grounds together or simply lounging in the sun. One of my greatest joys is being near the water. Whether it's a serene lake, a babbling brook, or even just a kiddie pool, I can't resist the allure of splashing around and feeling the cool water against my fur. It's where I feel most alive and carefree. While my past might be a bit of a mystery, one thing is clear-I have so much love to give to a family willing to open their hearts to me. With my playful spirit, and love for water adventures, I'm ready to embark on a new chapter in life, filled with joy, companionship, and endless cuddles. If you're looking for a furry friend who will bring sunshine into your days, consider making me a part of your loving home.
