Born: July 05, 2022 I am 60lbs and I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $400 Meet Simba, a handsome dog looking for his forever home! Simba loves car rides and is very smart—he knows "sit," "paw," and "stay." He's always up for a game of tug-o-war but is equally happy cuddling up with you. Simba walks well on a leash, enjoys a good brushing, and is house-trained. This beautiful boy is ready to find a home to call his own. All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. An application is required to view our adoptable pets. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. Story
Meet wonderful Waylon! Waylon is a medium energy 6-year-old Retriever mix who weighs ~85 lbs. He loves walking, walkies, and W-A-L-K-S. His lesser loves include treatos, splashing around in his pool, and rolling around in the grass before or after splashing around in his pool. He has an opinionated, goofysweet personality that makes his foster smile every day.A best-fit home for Waylon would have humans who were about giving instead of getting, at least at the start. Waylon had bad experiences with humans in a past life so needs a home that will give him affection on his terms until you've earned his trust. His home would include all humans over the age of 13. Because of his past, Waylon needs proper introductions to strangers and for people to recognize when he needs space. Waylon's new humans should also enjoy walks. He is not a high energy pup, but walking is genuinely his favorite thing. One longer walk (~45 minutes) or a couple shorter walks almost every day would be his ideal. In addition to his general awesomeness, Waylon would delight his new humans by being house and crate-trained, riding well in a car, and knowing, if not always performing, basic commands like sit, wait, down, and please don't roll in that!He just needs a chance. You can also watch for stories, pictures, and videos about me on JR's Pups-N-Stuff's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/ Ask to meet me today!!Adoption fee: $400All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age-appropriate vaccinations. Story
Hi, I'm Ariel! I'm a 5-year-old female Mini Golden/Poodle Mix weighing 35lbs. I'm a friendly girl who loves spending time with people, gets along well with other dogs and kids. At night, I sleep in my crate and I'm making great progress with my potty training - no accidents in the house! I'm searching for a loving family to welcome me into their home and ready to spoil me forever! If you're the one, apply now to adopt me! I promise to bring joy, laughter, and lots of cuddles into your life. I'm always up for an adventure, whether it's a walk in the park, a trip to the beach, or just playing fetch in the backyard. My favorite toys are squeaky ones, and I can spend hours chasing after them. I'm also quite the snuggler, especially after a long day of fun and games. I know that becoming a part of your family means a lifetime of love and dedication, and I'm ready to give my heart to you. If you have room in your home and your heart for a sweet, affectionate, and playful pup like me, then please consider making me a part of your family. I can't wait to meet you and start our wonderful journey together! Ariel's adoption fee is $625

Story
Cesar is ready for his forever home! He is believed to be a Golden Retriever/Shepherd mix, around 9-10 years old and about 50ish pounds. He is a docile and sweet guy that is coming out of his shell in his foster home. Prior to coming to BAARK, Cesar spent the majority of his life on a homeless dog ranch in Texas where he did not get much one-on-one human contact. It does take him a little time to open up to people but after a couple days in his foster home, he soon became a “velcro dog” following his foster mom everywhere she goes. He is house broken (has had zero accidents in his foster home) and crate trained. He loves to sleep in his crate but does not need to be crated when left alone, or at night; he is free to roam with no issues. Cesar loves being outside and would love his forever family to have a secure, fenced yard. He has great leash manners and enjoys his daily walks, as well. He is good with other dogs with proper introduction and would do well with another calm dog in the home; he would be fine as an only dog too. We do not know how Cesar is with cats. A home without small children would be best for Cesar as he gets a bit nervous with loud noises and fast movements. Cesar is fully vetted, up to date on all vaccinations, is heartworm negative and his senior bloodwork panel came back perfect. He is also neutered, microchipped and recently had a dental cleaning with appropriate extractions. Due to his having osteoarthritis, typical of larger dogs his age, he would do best continuing to take medications to help. Currently he is taking Omega 3s, Cosequin and Cortaflex Plus that have greatly helped him in his day to day movement. We believe Cesar is also a bit hard of hearing. If you’re looking for a low key, easy going smiley guy who loves to find a soft spot and take a nap, Cesar is your pup!

Story
Kiara is a fullbred Chesapeake Bay Retriever purchased from a breeder. She is very intelligent, friendly and lovable. She loves affection. She is a hunting dog by nature. She still has good jumping skills and can be very vocal. She was purchased by my late husband for hunting pheasants and protecting the chickens on our farm. When my husband passed in 2017, I kept her as my only family member in the house at that time. I must relocate to a 55+ community and I cannot take her with me. She is a beautiful dog and everyone falls in love with her. I am praying for a good home for Kiara with loving owners.
