We're so golden! We're so golden!! Hi, we are the gold puppies, a nice person brought us to the shelter after they witnessed us being dumped on the side of the road! I'm just a puppy, but I'm full of life and love. I have a curious nature that keeps me exploring my surroundings, always sniffing out new adventures. I'm friendly too, I love making new friends, whether they're humans or other dogs. My intelligence is one of my best traits, I pick up on things quickly and I'm eager to learn. I love playing games and solving puzzles, they keep my mind sharp and my tail wagging. But what I really want is a family to call my own. I dream of a home where I can grow, play, and learn. A home filled with love and laughter. So, why should you adopt me? Well, I'm friendly, curious, and smart. I'm ready to be your loyal companion and bring joy to your life. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come.
Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN areas twice a month. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual and we will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veteinarian ($35). Going that last mile home for our sweet pets!
