Story
There is simply no Muffin cuter than this beautiful girl! Meet Muffin, the three-year-old Golden Retriever mix who is sweeter than any breakfast pastry we’ve ever had! Muffin came to us from Allendale, South Carolina, where she was a stray having many litters of puppies and desperately needing the love and care of a kind human. Thankfully she has found that much-needed TLC here at Home for Good Dog Rescue, where she is thriving.
Muffin’s beautiful, fluffy white coat makes her look a bit bigger than her 28 pounds. She’s more of a mini muffin, if you will. This girl is so gentle, calm, and quiet. She has experienced quite a lot in life, and it’s made her a more introspective little girl who appreciates a lowkey lifestyle. Once she warms up and trusts the humans around her, she enjoys your company and just wants to be your sweet little friend.
Muffin would do best in a calm household with older kids, easy-going other dogs, and relaxed cats. She is working diligently on her leash training and would do so well with a patient human who will let her explore while she walks. She would make the most perfect little couch buddy for those who love to read, watch TV, take good naps, and simply enjoy all the relaxation life has to offer. So grab a tall glass of milk and enjoy the sweetest Muffin you’ll ever meet!
Muffin is spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.
Given the conditions Muffin originated from, upon rescue, she tested positive for Heartworm disease. Thanks to Home for Good Dog Rescue, Muffin has completed her Heartworm treatment.
*Heartworm disease is a serious and if left untreated, fatal disease. It is caused by foot-long worms (heartworms) that live in the heart, lungs, and associated blood vessels of affected animals, causing severe lung disease, heart failure, and damage to other organs in the body. Mosquitoes are carriers of heartworms and have the ability to infect dogs all year round, especially in the Southeastern portion of the United States and during the summer months.*
