Story
Hi there, I'm Daria - your golden-hued canine companion, and I'm on a mission to spread sweetness and a dash of spice wherever I go! Picture this: I'm an adult dog who's got the sweetness game down to an art. Lounging is my specialty, and I take great pride in lavishing belly rubs and kisses upon my favorite people. When it comes to lazing around, consider me the expert. My sunny disposition lights up any room, and I've got a soft spot for curling up beside you for some quality relaxation time. I'm the embodiment of sugar, and my love for people knows no bounds. Now, let's talk about the spice - I do have doggo friends and I love to play hard. Go hard or go home I think you two legged people say and that works when it comes to my romping time. Oh, did I mention I'm potty and crate trained? Yep, I've got those skills down too. Your home will be my haven, and I'll make sure to keep everything neat and tidy. So, if you're looking for a furry friend who brings a perfect blend of sweetness, lazy lounging, and a touch of spice to your life, look no further. I'm Daria, and I'm ready to add some flavor to our adventure together! *Feedback from a weekend host includes: "She rode great in the car. Didn't make a peep". "She is a very affectionate little girl". Recent host commented: "She sure is a couch potato, as soon as we got to the house she made herself @ home on the sofa & chilled. She felt at ease so I knew we hit it off right away." "She's a super sweet girl very well behaved and would be a wonderful addition to any home. " **Volunteer Dog Walker feedback: "She was very sociable with both humans and other dogs. She LOVES the water and. Jumped into every possible puddle/little stream (super fun). She was very energetic and pulled a little but very manageable". Most recent Host raved: "Doesn't know a stranger - loves everyone!" "Anytime a friend came over she just greeted them, licked them, and sat on their feet." "She is perfect in the car and loves car rides." "Loves toys - but doesn't 'kill' them and remove their innards like my Jack Russell used to. " "Very polite sleeper. Doesn't try to make you get up." "Very trainable - taught her to STAY at the top of the stairs." "LOVES to snuggle and just be with you. " "Does jump up periodically, but it's so gentle and she stops when you tell her to get 'Back' and gently push her off. She will sit down if you turn your back to her." "Leash walking - fairly easy to walk; doesn't pull much; when she sees dogs she pulls to go see them, but is easily redirected. Same for squirrels. I'm 4' 10" and 90 lbs. I could walk her just fine!"

Story
Need someone to be a rock in your life? A steady always there support and bestie? Rock...meet Stone...and ready yourself to welcome this wonderful hunka man into your life! Stone is a shepherd mix adult who weighs about 60 lbs full grown. He is an always sweet, sometimes shy, guy who will be the most loyal of companions. Stone has a nice medium energy and is SUCH a well behaved boy in his crate. He does well with other dogs though may prefer to have a gal pal in his furever home. Stone is eager to be loved and love and will be a great training candidate between his brains and his desire to please his people. He is active, yet knows how to chill, and is really just a great combo of yummy things! Weekend Host commented: "He got along perfectly fine with our cranky, 6-year-old terrier mix that is usually very picky about other dogs. He looked to her for guidance on how he should act. He followed her lead on how to scratch his back in the grass and to use the potty at the edge of the fence. " "He had no accidents inside and went potty promptly after every meal. " "He is happy to sleep in his crate and can be caught sneaking back in for a nap during the day. " "He took a nap with us and our other dog in the bed and was a great snuggler. Not before he had a bath though, which he behaved like a perfect gentleman for! "

Wedge is a chocolate kiss in dog form- such a sweet boy!! He has a beautiful chocolate brown coat- and oh so beautiful brown eyes - that are oh so soft and gentle as he looks in your eyes for your approval. Wedge weighs about 42 lbs now but is rather underweight so needs to put on a number more to be a strapping young man. A calm easy-going boy who walks wonderfully on a leash - he is a true joy. You'll just want to wrap him up in love- he is that kind of dog. Please fill out your application and make an appointment to see this chocolate lab, he will truly melt your heart. **Volunteer Dog Walker feedback: "Wedge was very sociable with other people and other dogs. He is a really sweet dog and liked to be at the front of the pack during the hike but checked behind him many times to see if his dog friends were close by. He is very nimble and likes jumping over logs and other obstacles".

Mix a little chocolate, a little Lab, a lot of fun and games and presto chango...you have Wisteria! This gal, named after a pretty flower a rightfully so (have you seen this pic?), is a younger adult lab mix who weighs about 40 lbs perhaps with a little room to still fill out some. This beauty doesn't have a season for blooming though like her namesake, she is gorgeous inside and out all year round. Wisteria is a young gal who is active, enjoys the company of other dogs and loves people the mostest. She would love some active peeps and would do fine with adjusting to life with doggo siblings. Wisteria is comfortable in her own skin and has adjusting quickly to farm life and will prove a willing adventure partner who is up for anything as long as she is by your side. This young beauty will surely be the best chocolate around and sweeter than all as well! *Weekend Host feedback: " Wisteria is great with kids! Wisteria is potty trained and stands at the door when she needs to go out. She loves walks but needs a little more training on the leash".

Story
Gus is a special lady. It truly breaks my heart to be rehoming her. However, I am recognizing that my skills as a pet parent do not encompass the support she required. PROS: Gus has lived with 2 cats in the 5 years I have owned her. They get along great! She recently has had 2 dog roommates added to the mix and gets along well with them too with a slow and intentional interdiction. She can be silly, LOVES to snuggle, has an avocado stuffy that is her best friend. She doesn’t like squeaker toys, so she is quiet! Definitely low/calm energy. CHALLENGEShe is anxious, and so can be reactive. Because of this, I have been giving her Fluoxentine in the mornings per the vet’s instruction to aid her with her anxiety. She can get a bit protective of resources, so feeding separately is wise. She can jump/bare teeth when you sneeze or cough and does not board well. Gus is best suited for an experience adopter who is kind, patient, and willing/able to support Gus with her eccentricities.

Story
Meet Charli, a 27 lb small retriever mix. This short-haired tawny femme is inquisitive, playful, and rockin' her name-sake's Brat Summer vibes. We think she's about 2 years old, but don't let that fool you- she's a tough mother who was found with one 11 week old puppy! Charli will let you know how she feels with her sweet howls, and if you made her day with her happy tap-taps and super fast tail wags. Charli loves to play and keeps the party going - especially getting street cred for being the BEST walking buddy on leash (she couldn't be bothered to pull!). She's sweet and quiet when she's not in play mode, and loves a good stretch and a couch nap. She's also fully crate and house trained! Honestly, her sploot and tail wag combo would sell anyone on Brat summer!
