Looking for a sweet golden boy? You found me. I am Jango and I love everyone and everything (though I haven't tried cats yet). I am a sweet boy who is ready to find my forever home with someone who needs a walking pal, a cuddle confidante and a canine vacuum. If you have other dogs... that's great, if not.... that's great too. Just me and you's will work, I am just wanting a family of my very own. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Story
Meet Bentley, he loves walks, laying in the garden, and will sit at your feet while staring warmly into your eyes. To me he has a sunshine face, you know the type- the ones that practically glow. This face of his, plus his happy, friendly goofy way is a big part of why we believe he may be part lab. Of course in rescue we cannot know a dogs breed with a 100% confidence but look at Bentley and tell me he doesn’t have the looks and presence of a lab. One look at his sunshine face and those sparkling eyes and you’ll know where we see lab, but just in case there is a doubt, we will call him a lab-mix. Take a look at all of his mellow sweetness and charming presence here then come back to read more about Bentley. https://youtu.be/4vv2ci6Vs0M Bentley is estimated to be just over 2 y/o, he weighs 54 lbs and is fully grown. Age along with breed are details we cannot offer with a 100% certainty given he is a rescue but our medical team is experienced in aging dogs based on a variety of consistent factors. His mellow presence alone tells us he is past the puppy days and into his couch companion era. He is a great age for learning and comes with a great pre-set number of skills. Our favorite is his auto-sit! That means when he comes up to you or any one else, he will automatically sit and hit you with those big ol’ eyes and that sweet face of his. In addition to being friendly, smart, and good-company, he is also great with other dogs. Bentley is so fortunate and is being fostered in a dedicated, multi-pet home where he has impressed everyone with the ease he settled into the routine in their home. On top of giving Bentley an opportunity to practice all his best house manners and good-boy skills, being fostered gives us a front row seat to who he is as a house dog and part of a pack. Bentley lives with 7 other dogs, spanning the full range of sizes and ages. From pack walks to everyday time in the yard together while their foster mom gardens, he proved to feel at ease in a pack and was an easy addition. We introduced Bentley to a handful of new dogs to get a feel for his approach to new dogs and his playstyle. He took things slow with each dog, letting them approach him and preferring to keep interactions short initially. If you are looking for a canine companion for your current pet, Bentley is perfectly suited for an easy-going playmate who will let him take his time to open up. A very bouncy, eager friend would be a bit too much for Bentley. His slow and steady approach to life can come across as shy but it isn’t truly a shyness, just a slower pace. If given the chance to be an only dog I do not think Bentley would mind one bit! Your love and affection, regular walks, and a few good toys is his ideal of heaven. Bentley truly has a love for laying in the garden and soaking up the sun and smells, so a home with a yard would be his dream but apartment living with access to open space or a small patio for an occasional nap would be perfect as well. He will benefit from continued practice with his on-leash skills, his pace and presence are great, but continued exposure to new environments and social situations will help build on the beautiful base he already has. Bentley is a classic, good-boy with best-friend energy and a guarantee of loyal companionship. Plus, he is about as cute as they come, in case you didn’t notice. This boy will not be available for long so If you are ready to make the first move- apply! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/67ec09aa6c76c3e8500aef49 If you have any questions please email elizabethbower@threelittlepittiesrescue.org We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $825 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
We've had Gus since he was a puppy at 12 weeks old, Dec 2017. He's been an amazing dog for our family, with the best disposition and desire to be part of the family. In Dec 2024, he had a disc issue (IVDD) that caused his back legs to weaken and lose control of his bladder and bowels. Xrays showed did not require surgery and would heal with strict bed rest and meds. Fortunately, Gus has regained full mobility! He's able to run and jump just as before. Unfortunately, he has not regained control of his bowels or bladder. He remains fully incontinent. We've purchased the very best diapers and bands but are still struggling to control bladder leaks. No matter what we do, there is often little bits of urine dribble. This has become a much bigger undertaking than we'd once thought, and we are questioning our ability to keep Gus whilst needing to be banded and diapered. Gus is still just the sweetest dog and would do great in a home with more hardwoods and less carpets!

What my friends at OHS say about me:I have been working with the Behavior team at OHS and I'm looking for a special home. It will take time and patience to get to know me. Click the "meet me" button to start the process and schedule an appointment. To learn more about my specific needs, please read my What to Expect handout.Congrats! You found the gold at the end of the rainbow with me.I will be your shadow even on those grey PNW days.I may look like a dog, but really I am 100% snugglebug.I am still learning how to walk on leash, especially in new environments that can be overwhelming. I need verbal encouragement, patience and of course treats from you to help me!Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.I had so much fun meeting other dogs here in the shelter. My friends at OHS think I would be great at making new dog friends! The type of home I'm looking for:All this change in my life has been really tough on me, I can't help but be cautious and worried. I'm longing for an understanding person, with a warm bed, treats and the willingness to give me time and space to settle in- could that be you?I have lived with other dogs in my last home.I will need to meet any canine companions prior to getting adopted. I need to go to a home without small children. Loud noises and fast movement frighten me, I could do well with calm, older children. It could be with you! Shiloh is a young Golden Retriever mix, around two years old. She’s a wonderful girl but is cramped living in an apartment. She walks well on lead. She likes cats, kids, other dogs…she’s housetrained. She’s off to a good start and looking for her forever home. Owner says that they’re rehoming her because they live in an apartment and she’s not getting the exercise required. No behavioral problems were reported except that she can be reactive towards new people. Shiloh is spayed. Her adoption donation is $250Please fill out an application at sccpets.comIf you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.March 24, 2025, 2:34 pm

Story
Hi! I’m Sketch. I live up to my name. I thought you should know that, haha! I am kind of unpredictable with strangers but with my family I am the most loyal dog in the world! I am a good protector and love giving kisses. I am very food driven and love cuddling, I can also go run in a semi-circle if you like! All I would like from you is to love me and give me a big fenced yard to run in and chase things during the summer. I just thought I should tell you, I hate rain. I’m not the best on a leash and I hate cats, they make good snacks though! I can seem a little vicious when we first meet, but don’t be scared, give me a treat and we will be friends FOREVER! I’m just a little shy, it makes me sad :( Once I’m used to you, I’m immediately in the puppy phase! And yes, my fluffy is as soft as it looks. I love kids, but I only do well with 9 . Small people upset me. My house is too small, so I need something big for a change! I need leash work! Please! I love walks! Also, I’m car sick! ❤
