Meet Maggie! Maggie is a 5 year old Golden Retriever who was rescued from a commercial breeder. Not only is she beautiful, but she's SO sweet! She appears to be fully housebroken and is dog and cat-friendly! Maggie's personality has totally blossomed. She's friendly and goofy, and is always carrying a stuffy in her mouth. Maggie is still learning how to "dog- she's figuring out the whole "leash thing, and is overcoming her fears of big sounds (cars/traffic, washer/dryer, TV, etc). We are looking for an adopter who is patient and will work on these things with her! Maggie weighs about 75 lbs, so her adopter and all family members should be prepared to handle this strong girl! Maggie enjoys rolling around in the grass, chomping on a good bone, and relaxing in the sun, in the living room... anywhere close to you. Maggie should go to a home with a fully fenced in yard. Maggie is spayed and UTD on vaccines. She is being fostered in Roxborough, PA so potential adopters would have to travel to meet her. Meet Violet. She came to us as a local surrender. Violet is about 6 years old. Violet is a Golden Retriever and she weighs about 87 lbs. Violet is housebroken, loves to take walks and walks great on a leash. Violet loves to be outside as much as possible. It would be ideal for her to go to a home with a fence but not completely necessary. Violet will go into a crate not willingly but with some assistance. Violet does great lose in the house during the day/night with other dogs in the house. Violet is shy and timid but warms up with time. Violet does well with other dogs. I am not sure how she is around cats. I would think fine but not guaranteed. Violet is now spayed, up to date with vaccines and microchipped. She has tested negative for heartworm and has been started on monthly heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $450.00. Hello world! I am so excited to tell you my story of being saved from a shelter that was under siege from parvo. I survived and I was broken out of the shelter by Critter Cavalry Rescue after spending 4 weeks there and hoping to live through it all. My name is Bridgette and I am about 5 months old and weigh 28 pounds. They say I have all sorts of breeds probably in my blood line. They say I looks like a Golden Retriever mix or an Aussie mix or a little Chow or just the best of what God could create. My foster mom just loves my confidence and my small size and stature but my BIG personality. How big will I be when I grow up? Who knows except that my foster mom says I have enough cute and cuddles for any size. I think I will be 40-45 pounds and the perfect size to fit in just about anywhere. Since I have gotten out of the shelter, I am crate-trained, but still working on the housebreaking because I have NOT been out of the shelter for long. It means that I don’t mind being in my crate and usually keep it clean and dry. I might holler when you first put me in my crate but my foster mom says, don’t be fooled. I’ll settle down with a blanket and toy after a little while. I just have to get used to being without my brothers and sisters and get used to my new family. You know things change all the time for us rescued dogs. We go from so many situations while the shelters and the rescues are trying their best to get it all just right for us. I sleep in my crate at night. I love mealtime! I also love to chase toys. If you get me settled on a blanket next to you, I love a good snuggle time. I’m ready. Come and get me!
