Story
We think Lady is around 2 years old as of November, 2024 and weighs about 55 pounds. She was found standing in the road beside her buddy that just got hit by a car. She was very pregnant and a nice man brought her to us. All of her puppies have been adopted and now it is Lady's turn. We have found her to have a sweet temperament with people and she gets along with the other dogs here and loves to play with a male we call Loki. However, she is the Alpha girl and would do best with a submissive male if other pets are in the home. We have no idea how she would be with cats. We recommend an adult home to start out as we have no idea of her history. Lady is leash trained, know how to sit, loves cuddles and is house and crate trained. She is an active girl that would love a home with room to run. Lady is spayed and current on shots, flea and heartworm prevention. If you are interested in visiting or adopting, please submit our application at Richardsonrescue.org. That is our most up to date site and you can see all pictures and videos. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 21, 2025, 12:49 pm

Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue: 12/17/24 Reason for being in rescue:  breeder release/breeder is retiring dogs from his program Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Pixie Penny is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Weight: 55 lbs (est) Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $399 Fence needed? Yes, Penny requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. What kind of home would be best for me? Sa y hello to Pixie Penny, your future adventure buddy! We call her Penny for short.  Penny would do well in nearly any home provided her adopters are loving and include her in all their adventures. Whether you are a single person, a couple, or a family Penny simply wants to play and shower you with love. She’s especially fond of children and would enjoy being part of a family with built-in playmates, though she is a big girl so kids older than 8 years are preferable. Penny is also happy around other energetic dogs and enjoys daily playtime with her canine friends. She could thrive with another dog, or as the only pup in her new home, receiving all of your love and attention. What is my personality like? Penny is a beautiful, highly energetic, and happy girl who’s looking for her forever home! Penny came to us as a breeder release, and although much of the world is new to her, her zest for life makes every experience a joy for her. Penny loves spending her days outside, whether she’s playing ball with her caregivers or happily running around with the big dogs here. She thrives on her daily playtime with her canine friends and is a true bundle of energy and playfulness. Penny's adopter will need to spend time on leash training. Currently she loves to walk between your legs and will wrap you up in the leash. She just can’t contain herself when she’s out and about. She will also need taught her basic commands like sit, down, stay, and come. Penny is a loving, happy girl who is always eager to please. She would be thrilled to accompany you on any adventure, whether it's a walk or jog, a trip to the café, or even an outing to the beach or mountains. No matter where you go, Penny will happily join in the fun and bring a smile to your face. Penny is eagerly awaiting a forever home that will appreciate her energetic antics. If you’re looking for a joyful, energetic companion who is always on fast-forward, and ready for adventure, Penny just may be your perfect match! How do I act when I first meet new people?  Penny has never met a stranger, she is anything but shy. Penny believes every person was put on this earth for her to play with, love, and receive love in return. Other tips and tidbits: Penny was born on 01/15/2019. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. January 18, 2025, 12:32 pm

Glori is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Weight: 27 lbs and growing - we expect Glori will between 30-35 lbs when full grown Height: 14 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $399 Fence needed? No, but a fence is a great safety feature for any dog. What kind of home would be best for me? Glori requires an active household who will provide many adventures for her. She is still learning about the world, so consistent socialization and positive experiences will be important as she continues to grow. With time, love, and encouragement, Glori is sure to blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion! Considering Glori is a bit timid mannered at first and lacks experience, it is required that you have at least one other confident canine in the household. She will be happiest in a home where she can have a canine sibling to learn, play and bond with. Glori adores other dogs, and she also gets along well with cats!  Glori would also do well with children 10 and older! She needs a family that understands puppies and understands the importance of socializing them and providing fun, positive learning experiences for the success of their upbringing.  Glori is not suited for communal living (e.g. apartments). There is simply too much going on. She will be best in a single family home where she can play with her canine sibling and go on frequent outings, but rest quietly in the comfort of her own home without the pressure of seeing new faces and meeting new people every single day. What is my personality like? Meet Glori! This gentle, submissive, but sweet puppy is looking for a patient and loving family who is willing to help her come out of her shell a bit. Glori has a sweet nature and lots of love to give, but she needs a patient, understanding home who will allow her to grow confidence at her own pace. Glori is very intelligent and extremely calm tempered. She walks amazing on a leash, listens well and is already working on great potty training skills! This sweet, innocent girl simply lacks socialization and experience in life. Glori's like in her formative first 9 months has been very sheltered. She hasn't been to many public places and hasn't met many people. She is nervous in new settings but knows how to self-sooth and is generally kind mannered. We've been told that Glori is better with women than men. Our experience is it's all about your energy - give Glori space and time and a calm aura and she will thrive. To her core she is a tender-hearted baby whose sweetness shines through once she begins to trust you and you show her that the world isn’t such a scary place. With gentle encouragement, and lots of love she has so much potential to be the amazing dog we know she will be! She can’t wait to start her journey with you! How do I act when I first meet new people? Glori is timid when meeting new people, unlike puppies that are well socialized. She has so much potential and so much love to share - she just needs patience to build confidence and be the happy, bouncy girl we know she will be. Other tips and tidbits: Glori's birthday is 4/29/24 House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Story
Loki was found stray. How could anyone let this boy get away? He would love a fenced yard for playtime and lots of walks/love. He gets along great with the dog in his foster but might annoy a laid back dog who is older. Loves tummy rubs. Best to feed him alone. No small kids or cats please. 3.5yrs old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped. 54lb Dog experience would be beneficial. Loki is smart.
