Story
This Floofydoodle girl is Ivy... Ivy is a 2 year old, 65ish lb, Goldendoodle and was one of the breeder dogs that was rescued from horrid conditions from the Amish puppy mill rescue in early Dec.  **** Ivy continues to be extremely unsocialized at this time, and the type of home she is needing is not just your typical home. There are quite a few MUST HAVES for her and they are:  MUST have someone who is experienced in helping unsocialized breeder dogs transition from the kennel situation to a home. This is NOT just for anyone, as the time and patience put into helping to rehabilitate these dogs is huge. She also MUST have another stable dog, MUST have a secure above ground fenced yard with direct access to the yard from the house, MUST have someone home more than the typical working family, and a home with NO kids under the age of 16. Sadly, after a year, she is now talking treats from us, and will occasionally let us pet her head. No aggression, just terrified of people.  We are still learning about Ivy but we do know she is very fearful of everything right now. You can tell she WANTS to get love but she is very hesitant and when one of the volunteers was able to pet her (once), she laid down in fear. Ivy has only known the small confines of a kennel, so this new world she has been introduced to is very scary for her. She finds comfort in other dogs as when she is in the play area with volunteers, she was very indifferent and not so interested in people, but when she is outside with some other dogs, she will get excited and bounce around some.  We know we need to get her out of the kennel so she can begin her new journey in life. She needs to find a forever family or foster family that is excited to show her what love and compassion are about. Ivy's rehabilitation is going to take time... things can not be rushed for her. As said above, she is going to need to have a stable dog living in the home so they can show her the ropes and help build her confidence in everything, especially people. Ivy is considered a flight risk, and will need a home with a secure above ground fenced yard with direct access to the yard from the home. We do not know how she will be with kids and or chaos, so a home with no kids under the age of 16 is best and we do not know how she is with cats at this time.  If you want to be the one to show Ivy what life as a beloved family member is all about, please fill out an application: grrand.org/foster grrand.org/adopt GRRAND dogs are looking for their foster or adoptive homes in our current service area of Greater Louisville, Greater Lexington, or Greater Cincinnati and Dayton. Story
Luke is a 4 year old, about 60ish lb Goldendoodle looking for a home with no kids under the age of 16, no other dogs and a family that has the time and patience to work with him with some resource-guarding tendencies, as Luke is not a fan of sharing his toys or food. He is house broken, crate-trained, knows some basic commands and has full run of the house when his people are gone. As you can see from one of the pictures, he has no problems with the family lizard! LOL! We are still learning about Luke, so please check back later for more info, but if you would like to be Luke's new family, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2044079##

Story
Ace is a handsome 3 year old, male Goldendoodle looking for his forever family that is active and has the time to give him the exercise and direction he needs to be a good boy. It is best his new family does not have kids under the age of 16 as he can occasionally show some resource guarding of his food and toys. He is crate-trained, has full run of the house when his people are away and walks well on leash.  We are still learning about Ace, but if you would like to meet him, please fill out an app at GRRAND,org ##2254617##

Story
Melissa Erin is a Goldendoodle est about 2ish years old, who was found by a Good Samaritan from Louisville who picked her up from the side of the road on I-65 and contacted GRRAND. She had a small pneumothorax and R fractured humerus - which required her leg to be amputated.   She is in an awesome foster home where they helped get her through her surgery from start to finish! Here is what they say: "We took her sutures out from her amputation and the incision still looks a bit irritated but it’s healing well. I’ll be keeping her in a cone for about another week, she keeps trying to lick the incision from the amputation. She is an absolute sweetie! She’s great with other dogs. Great with people. Crate trained and potty trained. She’s about 2 years old we think. She knows basic commands like sit and go potty and I’ll go in her kennel when I ask her. Oh also she was super matted and nasty and got a full shave down, but her hair is growing back! Melissa Erin (we have been calling her Maple) is skinny and needs to gain some weight, and she is really a lap dog! She is so ready to find her forever family!!! Oh... and she LOVES the snow!" We are still learning about this sweet girl, so please chack back later for more info... If you would like to help GRRAND with the high vet bills for her surgery, please visit the DONATION link to help! and if you would like to meet this sweetie, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org   ##2285499##

Story
Meet Fable (Goldendoodle) and Wisp (Aussiedoodle) are a pair of Doodles who were surrendered to GRRAND from a breeder, and they must be adopted together. This is what their foster says: "Fable (2 years old, 30 lbs) is a loving and affectionate dog who enjoys being close to his people. He’s a true “Velcro” dog, adoring pets and cuddles. Fable loves stuffed animals and chew toys, making him playful and fun! Wisp (2 years old, 20 lbs) is a sweet and independent girl who loves curling up on top of the couch for naps. Lots of fluffy, curly cuteness. She even has one blue eye and one brown one!  Recently, she had puppies but is now ready for a new chapter.  Both dogs are house-trained, crate-trained, and enjoy playing with each other.  They are well-behaved, know basic commands (like sit), and would benefit from a little leash training. They’re great in the car and would love to run around in a fenced backyard. Fable and Wisp are a bonded pair and play wonderfully together—they’re ready to be part of a loving family!" Story
Jackson is a 1 year old male Goldendoodle, at about 60ish lbs, who is a very active and adventurous dog looking for the same in his new family. Jackson has been moved around a bit as his original owner was moving and could not take him with them, so he got rehomed, and is now praying this will be his FOREVER family! He was surrendered as the resident dog in the home he was in, did not like his play style and Jackson was too much for him. He is house and crate trained, we have been told, is good with dogs and lived with cats (GRRAND has not cat tested him), but he does want to chase and play with them. Jackson's new family will need to be committed to giving him the daily dose of exercise and direction he needs, as he has had all but no training. If there is another dog in the home, they will need to be younger and have a high activity level to keep up with Jackson. He is a known counter-surfer and jumper so training must be in his near future. He is a bit cautious around strangers but warms up quickly. We are still learning aout Jackson, but if you would like to meet this guy, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2285549##
