Story
Sadie is a very large, overweight golden doodle who has been with me since May 2024. I was asked by my niece and her boyfriend to care for Sadie for the summer or until they were able to find a house or apartment where they could have a dog. Now they’ve decided they don’t want her back and have told me to “just get rid of her.” I don’t have the ability to keep Sadie myself but would like to see her adopted by someone who can love and care for her as she deserves. She is a very well mannered dog who has been overfed by a previous owner. I have kept her on a diet with daily exercise but she doesn’t seem to be losing weight and I wonder if she has some underlying health issue. I can’t afford to take her to the vet. Sadie has a few special needs. She isn’t strong enough to jump into a tub so will need someone who has a walk-in shower or who is strong enough to lift her into a tub (she weighs approximately 115lbs) or who can afford to take her to a groomer for regular baths.

Personality: • Affectionate: Coco has a big heart and loves to share it with his human friends. • Curious: His inquisitive nature keeps him exploring and learning about his surroundings. • Sociable: Gets along wonderfully with other dogs and does well with cats, making him a great addition to multi-pet households. Training and Behavior: • Crate Training: Coco may bark when he can see you while in his kennel, but he settles down when out of sight. Covering the kennel or being in a different room helps him feel more at ease. • House Training: He is making progress with potty pad training and usually pees when taken outside. However, he hasn’t yet learned to signal when he needs to go, so continued guidance will help him master this skill. Ideal Home: Coco would thrive in an active home that can provide him with the attention, playtime, and continued training he needs. His compatibility with other dogs and cats makes him a versatile addition to various family dynamics. Adoption Details: Coco is up-to-date on his vaccinations and is ready to find his forever home.
