You can email us at acatsfriendinc@gmail.com if you have questions, but if you would like to be considered for adoption, you must fill out an application. Please note if you are applying for a kitten under six months of age, you must have another friendly kitty in the home or adopt another kitten. Additionally, unless otherwise indicted that this animal is a purebred, all of our animals are rescues and the "breed" selection is a best guess based on their apperance as we have no way of knowing their specific breeds.  Out of state adoptions (outside Virginia/DC/Maryland) do require three years of excellent past or current veterinary references. He's 100% potty trained and enjoys sleeping in the sunny spots on the floor throughout the day. One of his favorite pastimes is sitting out back and watching the birds and wildlife, enjoying the tranquility of nature. While Jax isn't motivated by food, he responds wonderfully to positive reinforcement. Jax has impeccable house manners and with patience and love, he will bond deeply with his new family. He loves baths, showers, and playing in the rain, truly embodying the spirit of a water dog. He also gets along well with his foster sister, a French bulldog, enjoying her company. Sue is a housebroken doodle that enjoys long walks or runs but is then very content in being at your side in the house. She can go long periods of time before needing to go out. She walks nicely by your side without pulling. No descuctive behavior . No chewing of furniture or shoes. In fact she does not play with toys or balls at all. She becomes very attached to her owner and very protective. If a stranger comes at you she will growl and then jump at them if they still approach.. if other dogs come at her she will also react.. I would not recommend a busy house or children because if strange children come over and chase your child she will go after them.

Story
Bo will be 4 years old on August 12, 2024. He has lots of energy and he’s also very sociable. He’s trained, and very well behaved. Loves giving hugs and being rubbed. Very loyal. I got him when he was 5 wks old from breeders. It was a 4th litter for the mother and she stop feeding the pups around the time I acquired him. I guess she was over it. He was bottle feed for a little while but soon after placed on soft food with puppy milk. He has regular monthly visits to be groomed and he’s up on all of his shots. Would love for him to be in a good home with a family. He loves kids and they too would adore him. If you are single and don’t travel as much as I do, he would make a good companion as well.
