Hazel came from a bad situation in Michigan to a home in Minnesota. She was rescued from the home in Minnesota before they could take her out in the country and let her go to fend for herself. Do to her rough start in life, Hazel needs a home that is committed to helping her succeed in life. She is working on potty training now because she was never trained before. She is a little unsure in some situations but she is a great girl who loves attention and her toys. Her ears aren't sure what they want to do either. Sometimes they stand up, sometimes they flop together. They are super cute. Hazel is not yet altered but there will be an alter agreement with her new owners. She can not be used for breeding.

Hi! I’m Gertie! I’m a gentle and sweet soul who has blossomed beautifully over the past couple of months since arriving in Minnesota. Even though I was initially timid, I’ve grown more confident and affectionate as I’ve settled into my surroundings. I’m house trained and crate trained, and I love most dogs, cats and people. I also love ice cubes and chewing on hard toys. I know how to sit, stay and go in my kennel on command. I’m very smart! I thrive with patience and love to play with my foster sister. But I also enjoy snuggling on the couch with my three foster humans. My kennel is my safe space and sometimes I just like to hang out in there. While I would enjoy having another dog friend and a fenced-in yard, I also love to go on leisurely walks and run around at the dog park. With a little patience, you'll discover I am the sweetest pup who's ready to share my heart with a loving family!P.S. I’m not afraid of fireworks, thunder, the vacuum OR the UPS truck!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Atreyu and his sister Elissa were found out wandering the streets when their owner let them loose as they didn't want them anymore. A nice foster home said no way, and took them in. Atreyu is a 7 month old Great Dane mix. So big breed and small age = big puppy. This is something to keep in mind if you have small children. "Atty is a goofy, gangling, somewhat clumsy big puppy. He loves to cuddle, even with his big size. He is excelling at potty and kenneling skills. He would benefit from training classes to be a good big, Great Dane.
