Story
Welcome Reesaw to CCPAL Rescue. She is an 18-month-old Great Dane mix dog. She weighs in at 102 pounds. She is good with other dogs and came in with an older Great Dane named Planter. Reesaw does pull on leash but we will be working with that. She is moderately active and would be fine with a moderately active family. She is a good balance between active and couch potato. She is good with people and will bond deeply with her person. Great Danes are typically a little shy and they warm up and bond deeply to their family. She does fit this characteristic. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Someone who has owned an XL dog or a Great Dane would be preferable. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Jinx to CCPAL Rescue. Jinx is a 2 year old Great Dan mix. He is tall and lanky like the great Dane and has the shy quality. He is a good weight and he is good with other dogs. He has lived with a large female and male in his home. He does know sit and is good on leash. We assume he is potty trained as he had an older man owner. His owner is in hospice care and is not doing well. A good Samaritan stepped up and helped them. She asked CCPAL to take them in and help them find a new forever home. He settles down nice and likes to lean in to his person. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. We would love someone familiar with the Dane personality or someone who has had a large breed dog before. He would be a great man dog. He takes direction well and bonds deeply very quickly. He naturally likes men as he lived his life with one. He would be content being the only dog or being with another dog. He is not the dominant one of the 3 pack. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Story
Penny is up for adoption! Penny is an adorable 3 month old puppy. Her mama, Grace a mix of Pit/Great Dane/Boxer has passed down her gentle and loving nature to Penny. She has a slight black tip on her tail and white socks on her feet which distinguishes her from her siblings. While we don’t know who dad was, we anticipate Penny and her siblings will grow into medium to large-sized dogs. Born in our care, Penny has been surrounded by love and attention from the very beginning. She’s playful and full of puppy charm, ready to bring joy and laughter to her forever home. Penny is very curious and likes to explore new spaces. She LOVES people, grownups and kids alike. She lives in a foster home with 2 cats and respects their space although she’d really like to play with them! Penny is very sociable and has done very well with other dogs she’s met. She is learning to walk on a leash and knows how to ‘sit’. While very independent, Penny likes snuggling for a nap and longs to be with her humans getting all the attention she can. She sleeps in a crate during the day in her foster home and is 95% potty trained. With frequent potty breaks during the day, she rarely has accidents in the house. She loves being outside running in the yard with kids or fetching sticks. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. Story
Hi there! My name is Dan, and I'm an affectionate, athletic, and brave young dog. My dignified and friendly nature allows me to make new friends easily! I love to play, run around, and explore, but I also love to snuggle up and get cozy. I'm an intelligent pooch who is always up for a good time. Whether it's going on walks or playing a rousing game of fetch, I'm ready for anything. I'm a loyal companion and am always looking to please. I just want to find a forever home where I can be the light of their lives and receive lots of love in return! I will be ready for my new home after 2/23/2025
