We found him and no one claimed him. We have had him in our home approximately 2 weeks, he is not destructive and gets along great with humans and dogs. He is potty trained and knows some basic commands. He does jump chain link fences and digs a little bit. He would love a companion to play with, we have a Dane but she is older and not able to play so we think he is getting bored. He is so beautiful and so sweet.

Meet Johnny! He is around 9-10 months old and 65 lbs, possibly a Lab/Dane mix and ready to find his forever home! This sweet guy was found as a stray by Lake Hefner with his sister June when they were still small puppies. They have received all the vet care they need and have grown into great doggos, ready to find homes of their own. Johnny is house and crate trained and does great on a leash! He knows sit and is leaning to play fetch. He loves to be in the backyard, chasing squirrels in the yard and telling the birds to get off his lawn. He is a sweet boy but, like many dogs and people, he takes a minute to warm up to strangers and other dogs. He would do great as an only dog or in a home with a non-dominant dog friend. He loves to go on walks, snuggle up by his people, and get his back and belly rubbed. Johnny does resource guard and does great eating in his kennel. Johnny has a lot to offer a dog-loving person or family that can give a rescue dog the love and patience they need to adjust to a new family and home. Do you like to live DANEgerously? Then Mercedes is the perfect girl for you! This beautiful Great Dane pup is about 7 months old and 53 pounds. We can probably expect her to grow to about 100 to 120+ when fully grown. Mercedes is the most snuggly gal she could be, and loves nothing more than to be next to you or steal your side of the bed. Mercedes does good in a crate and is doing really well with leash training but will need to continue working on that a little. Mercedes is good with other dogs and children but still has some puppy energy so probably best with older children. Interested in becoming a forever home for Mercedes? For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, and flea and tick prevention. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
